Yea, that scene is a pretty good example of the whole tone of the movie. Everything just kind of feels like its dragging and lacks energy.

Damn all the changes they did on the Beauty and The Beast film gave me that feeling too

It's definitely going to divide people. I personally liked it a lot. I won't say I LOVED it, but I did like it better than Maleficent and Beauty and the Beast.

I’m disappointed, many beautiful songs from the Broadway musical they could’ve recreated for this, only one new song that wasn’t in the musical from what I saw from the album

The movie was kinda entertaining but not worth a rewatch. The actor of Aladdin was awful and cringeworthy. I actually enjoyed Will Smith’s Genie but he should never sing again. Naomi Scott was gorgeous and she definitely looked like Jasmine but I wasn’t feeling her scenes either. I was looking forward to the “A Whole New World” scene and for me it was just a let down. I didn’t care for any of the songs/singing. Just meh. There were parts of the movie I liked but IMO, if you’re in the mood for Aladdin just watch the original.

I have never watched the animated.

Went with family tonight, sold out theater with lots of kids, we enjoyed it for what it was, lots of fun Will Smith was great, Naomi is freaking smoking hot and my wife said Aladdin and Jasmin make a cute couple lol.

Audience all clapped at the end everyone seemed to be having a good relaxed time.

Being half Aladdin myself.....had zero impact on the movie lol

Made me want to watch the animated now.
