Did you get that headless body at Monkeydepot?

Try here: https://www.unitoyzone.com/product_info.php?products_id=2402. Don't worry about the Asian head, you can pop it off and pop on the included extra neck. Otherwise, it's essentially the same figure. I initially bought all my TrueTypes from ebaY complete. I just popped off the heads and switched out the included neck accessory. If you just want the body, you can try MonkeyDepot but they're always out of nude TrueTypes and when they have them in, you don't get the extra naked (non-gloved) hands. BlackOpsToys.com has them but their site blows sometimes. If you have any trouble there, pop over to their ebaY store. Same store, but it actuallly WORKS! :lol Don't forget to pick up the hands, feet, appropriate pegs and neck though. Often times, picking them up loose is more expensive than just picking up the whole TrueType.

I did, however, receive two emails for viagra, and an email concerning worry-free breast enlargement, so I've got that going for me.

That, my friend, is a recipe for severe hermitism with a side of handcraps.

Cancelled the exclusive as well. In the end, the torch/dart was just not worth the extra expense for me. I'll get the regular later on, for considerably less. Someone on the waitlist will be happy soon.

It's not worth it for me either, but I think I'm going to keep the exclusive simply because I'll get it in hand sooner.

Exclusives rarely are worth the cost... but I've become a whore for them and can't break the streak now :lol Although I do wish he had come with something more exciting. A poison date eating monkey would have been cool :lecture

Awesome! Thanks for the help. I snagged one from my Canadian on-line retailer (toys2) where I order most of my HT from... Grabbed an Asian TrueType for $26 (Canadian) and the shipping (no custom fees) we're easier. Thanks again-- This'll be a great body to go along with the Giles outfit for an Indy prof... Now, what are you doing for a bow tie?

I recommend working with what you got. Since the Giles tie is hokey enough, when Indy arrives, I plan on using what I already have and folding the Giles tie into a bow tie. A simple fold-and-twist with a few stitches on either side (for those afraid of a needle, hotglue IS your friend) to hold it knotted will give me a perfect, hokey, striped bow tie. Heck, you could almost just cut it off the elastic, tie a knot in the middle of it, trim the edges to look like a bow tie, then stitch it back to the elastic if you wanna be lazy.

I was thinking of doing something similar. Were you using Giles' shoes for this custom?

No, that's the only snag I ran into. Giles' shoes don't fit the TrueType (hence the socked body in the pic). I actually purchased some real leather shoes from MonkeyDepot to use. But if they're out, and you can't find any at your local dealer, you can find 1:6 dress shoes all over ebay for about $10 shipped. I'm using a tiny piece of Q-tip stem for chalk to jam between the index and middle fingers of his pointing hand and some kind of book for him to hold in the other. Just wish I could find a 1:6 scale book like the bible they used in Raiders during the scene where he's talking about the Ark. I actually thought about using Gandolf's spellbook and painting the Ark on the exposed page and medieval text on the other, but I...just...can't. It's the exclusive :rotfl. So I might just try to make a custom one.

You could always dremmel down the feet a bit to get them to fit... I've had to do that a few times.

Either that or take nail clippers to the feet or try boiling the shoes, etc.... Yeah, I see what you're saying. But I figure with all the time and money I'm putting into him, I at least owe the project shoes that fit. :lol

Well, I've got another pair of shoes that I was looking to use on a Daniel Craig Bond custom (that I seem to have been working on for the last two years:lol) so I'll see if they'll fit the TrueType body before I hack up those feet with a dremel or clippers-- although that'll be option number 2.

Coming in the next 30 days (US)...
