1/6th Millennium Falcon Cockpit

Right before I rip it all apart to start working on the inside I wanted to add a outer skin, again just to get the feel and scale.

LOL do one as well and we can get two falcons on the go the would be great, plus we can help each other out........ mind you if your about to become a dad u r gonna have loads of time to build in the early hours of the morning!!!!!

Blast you are a scoundrel...this was on my list of things to attempt...though it might give me a huge headache..so I think I will let you pave the way Would be a great piece though..you could use it for a number of figures

LOL I was kidding !!! or was I!!!! But the problem is that it would be that the AT-AT would be 3 and a half meters tall LOL, but I did start to draw up the cockpit of that... But then realised I did not have any one to put in it

LOL Yeah possibly doing the whole AT-AT would be a 'little' impractical but the head is surely doable! I reckon one or two amongst us could source a couple of AT-AT pilots for you if you do it. (1st dibs on that too! - plannin ahead since i missed out on a Gonk! lol)
BTW I was just visualising the rest of the Falcon from one of your pics...it would be a monster!!

Yep it would be HUGE!!! 5.6m long by about 4m wide!! thats about 18 feet by 13 feet.

I am trying to source as many pics of the falcon cockpit as possible. I need pics of the front console. Although I am not going for movie accurate I want it to be the best I can do. Any help with pics would be great.

Great project. I always thought that this would've been really great for their 1/9 diorama line. Lighting in the cockpit would've made this a superb collectible. Looking forward to seeing more photos.

This was going to be my next project, until I started researching pics online and became overwhelmed. I wouldn't be happy without LEDs in the displays, and I have no clue how to do that s***.

If you can pull this off it will truly be awesome.

Instead of having individual LEDs for each and every light, what if you had a small light source behind a panel, with pin holes for the lights? You could even cover the pin holes (on the back of the panel) with different colored cellophane, or plastic, so that the light shining through would be different colors.

Anyway, just a thought. The cockpit is coming together nicely Dorgmal!

Fiber optic cable is also not a bad way to do it.. I've seen it done on smaller models with great success.
