kztu22pmROys.jpg More hair applications with wax and low temp hair dryer. I'm very pleased with how the color of both wigs blend together.

fdfBHvCRRrET.jpg I'm still considering getting the original HTS body for this custom. I'm a stickler for skin tone matches. But I've already put $$$$ into this (and my boxed HTS BVS WW), so it depends on how much a nude body cost. I also don't love the way the HTS body doesn't have relaxed shoulders. The breastplate on the figure would not allow for the relaxed shoulders but maybe it's different without costume?!?! Regading the Phicen: they're inconsistent in skin tone. I've been using a S09C, S06B and an S12D. They are all the "old HTS suntan versions but each has a slightly different skin tone. The body used here wearing white dress is the best matched so far even though still not 100%.

One of my goals for posting pics of customs is to help others who also bash. I take these after dark pics of my work in my back yard under LED flood lights because the illumination is so bright it shows every small detail (of face, hair, skin tone outfit et, et, et). So above pics (due to lighting) really show off the difference between skin tones. I'll post more pics later in regular day light for a different kind of comparison.

HZjqOGfBC9Ma.jpg Working on a matching skin tone. I like the Phicen & Hot Toys hybrid figures. It takes a while to get there, but once you do it really works - per my experience. Also, I'm not there yet!!!!

acmtb3eY4Sch.jpg Ok, ultimately at this point I had to do something with outfit/accessories to make the skin tones appear to match. I switched to a different P/TBL body which has a closer color match. But it's still not 100%. Therefore I had to wrap a necklace completely around her neck to distract my attention from any inconsistencies regarding skin tone. Also I applied a little more "product" to the rooted hair to reduce frizz and define the base curls et.

Photo evolution of custom with authentic HTS sculpt to date (10/11/17). Remember I'll be adding to this album until all the minor details have been addressed/figure is complete. https://myalbum.com/album/xUg0HC2PEIRt

Could you please tell me where you buy your 1:6 jewelry and other accessories?

I am working on bashing a custom Vesper (007 Casino Royale) with sculpt4ever's Eva Green sculpt - but I don't know where to get a necklace from. I see you have several different necklaces on your Diana custom.

Li28iHWZ5Xfu.jpg0BEbYRqaiO0B.jpg I need to get a pro camera for indoor pics. It's amazing (especially when taking photos of toys) how the lighting can make or break your photograph. Any suggestions on a good camera?

Hobby Lobby!!!! HB (and similar stores) usually have tons of materials you can use to make anything 1/6 scale, from jewelry to jeans (and you can buy tons for under $15!!!!!!!!). You can also check out Barbie stuff on ebay, but if you go that route communicate with the seller first to make sure item(s) will fit and won't discolor your figure.

rDcflAco1tgE.jpgOXYmWBcpWQ5Y.jpg Cleaned up the hair a little more. Decided 100% to stick with the Phicen body. Phicen seamless bodies might have some issues but they're still better quality than any other base body available.

HT6gPw4lwzkS.jpga5DVKH687LIo.jpg Full frontal Phicen (and of course, it's fully clothed)!!!! Lol. When I first started collecting the P/TBL figures I would read their disclaimer that states "THESE ARE NOT SEX TOYS" and wonder: Where and who are the idiots that could actually look at a Phicen 1/6 scale figure and think it a sex toy!?!?!?!?!? Well now I know where and who they are (lol). Do they think that because they don't know what a real sex toy looks like? Maybe. But all of my Phicen figures are rated G-PG 13 (I promise; with my hands on a stack of bibles!!!!).

Ok for anyone who wants to make a custom 1/6 scale Gal Gadot figure using the HT BVS Wonder Woman head sculpt this is a summary of the work I did for my "Modern-day Diana Prince/Gadot 1/6 scale OOAK/custom collectable figure." My process: 1) I started with the knock-off sculpt for practice. Also for practice purposes I used several of the Phicen bodies known as Phicen's "HOT TOYS Suntan" figures/old version of their suntan figures (S09C, S06B; S12D-also S02A for medium breast size). I played around with various themes and outfits-initially I was going to make a "Diana of Themyscira", but I changed my mind because I wanted something that would give me a Gal Gadot figure and as a result, better exercise my creativity and skills et. 2) I decided to make a modern representation of Gadot (which requires hiding or removing the tiara from sculpt). I switched poor quality knockoff for the superior quality authentic HTS WW BVS head sculpt. But HTS didn't make this sculpt to easily fit a Phicen body. ****TAKE NOTE-the authentic sculpt must be modified to fit a Phicen. So I modified the neck peg (****to fit this sculpt on a Phicen, you must add another 1/2 of a neck peg to the existing peg inside the sculpt. The original peg is too deep/too short/inserted so high inside the head that it will not attach to a Phicen without modification). I again played around with different outfits and accessories to balance the imbalances between skin tones. 3) After getting the head to physically fit the body (via mods), I created a new hair peice to complety hide the tiara. I used the original HTS WW sculp's hair (which is a fuzzy mess of curls - I wish HTS would pick up a $5 Barbie doll and learn something about rooted hair, especially considering how much HTS cost) and the hair from a Knock-off AOU Scarlet Witch head sculpt to create one hair peice with bangs. I had to glue the 2 wigs together, re-attach new wig to sculpt, pull the original hair back, pour boiling water on the bangs so they would lay flat and using appropriate cleaners and products for synthetic hair, cut and styled bangs in a Vidal Sassoon fashion. I love the results. This was challenging but worth it because it hides the crown but it also corrects the mistakes HTS made with their WW head sculpt. They made Gal Gadot look like she has a fat head!!!! And giving her bangs covers her forehead and shapes her face so your attention is directed to the greatness of the sculpt (it's eyes, nose, mouth - it also helps bring out Gadot's cheekbones which is a facial element where IMHO Hot Toys made mistakes-Gadot has very pronounced cheekbones that aren't represented on their sculpt). 4) I added a chain necklace to diminish mismatch regarding skin tones. I may eventually change the outfit for something that 100% hides the neck (turtleneck neck outfit for example) but as of now - COMPLETE Modern-day Diana Prince or Gal Gadot custom 1/6 scale HTs/Phicen hybrid figure. Now on to the next one!!!!!!!! I think I'll do something easy next time like Peter Parker or Harley Quinn!!!!

Oox4G0RdVLs8.jpghQYIKmRz9p7Q.jpg End result comparison: Pic 1) Hot Toys Wonder Woman (authentic BVS HTS Wonder Woman head sculpt) as Gal Gadot/Diana Prince and Hot Toys Wonder Woman collectable figure. Pic 2) Comparing how the HTS BVS WW sculpt works with a Phicen bash/stacks up to other Phicen bashes using HTS sculpts - Wonder Woman (w/authentic BVS HTS WW head sculpt) as Gal Gadot next to Black Widow (authentic AOU HTS BW Head sculpt) as Scarlett Johansson. Thankfully all the hats I had to tame the messy hair on the WW sculpt didn't go to waste after all!!!!

QPwJTipAQ7mc.jpgsRAlMU4Z20qx.jpg Both with HTs sculpt. Have done my best to cut the bangs symmetrically but it's not easy. Tips on "how to" through out the thread. Thanks.

kWtJ93SdTxC7.jpghi7oCN7kAyrg.jpgvpJPrAV2edy8.jpgVHBommFoEuC3.jpg Nerdy Diana Prince! First, the bangs will never be 100% even (or symmetrical) because of the way I glued the wigs together. So unless/until I rip it up and do it again - that's that. Outfit completely hides skin tone imbalances. And with hair up, it reminds me of comic representation of character (also I'm still a huge CBS Lynda Carter WW fan, and always thought her hair up or straight vs.curly et, was a good way to differentiate between ego and alter-ego). Thanks for looking.
