I'm in this boat as well. Drax was pretty much scrapped to most people and then suddenly went up for PO. Gives you hope for other figures who are suffering the same ostensible fate.

Yeah, but Drax was the missing link in GOTG. Yellow Jacket is just a villain from a movie now long gone. They might do this, they might not. I hope for all you guys and gals waiting, that they will do it.

Sideshow still has this and Ultron Sentry in their "Coming Soon" section of the website.

If only that actually meant something. I was completely into this figure, but with no news about it going to PO for a while now, I've lost interest. There are so many new figures coming out that we know will get a PO, that there's no time to be pining over stuff like this.

:exactly: Agreed, I was really excited for this release several months ago...but now it's been so long since the film I'm not sure now whether I'll buy him or not. Kinda lost interest a little bit tbh as well, especially with all the recent Con reveals. :(

This is what I was mentioning before in wondering that if the longer the figure takes to go up for PO after the movie has already long been out, will hurt sales for it. A figure like YJ I imagine for many would be an impulse buy when the movie is still fresh in everyone's mind after having just seen it; not to mention like MP33 said, the revealing of other figures that will more likely than not be going up for PO. Like jasper also mentioned, it's different with Drax being that he is the missing piece of the GotG group, so it didn't really matter when he went up for PO, the figure will sell.

King Arts version looks amazing....

Come on HT!!!!!

Must be a scheduling problem with HT. I mean, they're so busy with Star Wars and new Marvel movies. I think they want to do this, they just don't have the available factory space, to get it produced. I don't know. I'm speculating

Not a bad guess. Good as anything else out there.

My two cents-you are partially correct I think. It's more that they had (my speculation based on what I've heard) it slotted earlier and then had some engineering issues which delayed the approval process which meant it slipped out of the production schedule and won't/didn't get reslotted until they had a reason (some type of competition or interest (like a competitor making a figure lol) or steady news about the sequel to get people interested) like medi attention or they had all the kinks worked out and a free slot to plug it in. What I heard is that the backpack combined with the suit (keep in mind it's a 100% cg character) materials is what caused the issues. I've also heard they got it mostly figured out for what it's worth. The figure isn't shelved by any means. It was in the updated catalog they released 4 months ago, and at most the summer shows. Sometimes a figure takes extra time.

Also, the KA figure looks cool.

I kind of feel like at this point they should just drop it all together. THe suit was only on screen for mere minutes at the end of the film, the character died and won't be brought back, and with Marvel now doing 3 movies a year, HT has so much other stuff to work with. There's really no good time to release him and have it not get lost in the shuffle of new figures.

Ehh, it's no different than making MKII Whiplash years after the movie came out. I think they'll make it eventually.

No, I need more villains and Yellowjacket looks awesome. There are also versions of Yellowjacket in comics. Not everyone collects Hot Toys because of movies. I collect Hot Toys because I like Marvel comics and movies, with Hot Toys (in my opinion) being the best figures you can buy. If Hot Toys made comic accurate figures that I liked, then I would buy those too or instead of the movie versions.

You're talking to people who have bought all the house party armors and stuff like NA Scarlet Witch. If things look cool enough, we'll buy them, regardless of screen time!

That being said, I'm not sure that Yellowjacket wouldn't end up as a shelf-warmer, considering what's happened to other Marvel villains. I'd get it, but I'm not sure about the wider appeal. If Hot Toys did decide to permanently bench it, I can't blame them.

Yup, and that sold well. :rolleyes2 With so much competition in the pipeline with more Marvel, DC, and SW movies coming out, I feel like the masses won't give this release a lot of love and attention. Infinity Wars alone would potentially be 10+ new figures.

Ant Man is my fav marvel movie so I'll definitely get YJ if he becomes available for PO.

Looking to add Wasp in 2018 too!

I thought it was finally announced when I got the update. In any case, I'm still hopeful for this figure. [emoji5]
