Its the favorite thing I own, and the 42/43 is one of if not the finest Iron Men Hot Toys has ever produced in terms of detail, proportion, and engineering

They both look amazing! Beside the Mark 47, the 42 is one of my most favorite armors. I'm glad it holds up well.

Have a couple of quick queries on Mark XLII. Hope someone would be able to help.

As I understand, HT made QS007 and QS008. The Google search shows 3 listings. The 2nd and 3rd are OOS. The 1st one is still available; though, at a whooping $650!

I'd like to know, if I need a clean armour, do I need to go for the first listing ($650)?

As I understand, the now OOS 2nd and 3rd options had that wear effect on chest and waist which many didn't like (including me):

QS007 was the standard, QS008 was the deluxe with the giant stand. They came out in like 2017. They reissued the deluxe only in 2022, still QS008, that's why it is still in stock. Afaik the reissue was identical to previous and they all had the crap airbrushing in it, but it could be removed with isopropyl alcohol and patience

Thanks a lot for the info and the pic, @rocbolt. It would have been nice if HT made a clean armor. The isopropyl alcohol surely did work on your XLII there. Both 42 and 43 look awesome! As @rory mentioned in another thread, Mark 42,43, and 45 certainly have the best proportions in the 1/4 IMs.

Would you say that Mark 42 or 43 has better proportioned head (bigger) than 1/4 Mark 3 and 4?
