Re: Quint (LAWS) Head sculpt - Critique / tips wanted! Thank you both for taking the time! Ill work on the expression an deepening the wrinkles - I have never really sculpted heads for 1:6 before so its quite a learning experience - Most of the "larger" things I sculpted were more "statue"...

Quint (JAWS) Head sculpt - Critique / tips wanted!

Hi All This is a sculpt of Robert Shaw's character Quint from Jaws (which I am sure everyone reading this is familiar with!) I worked as a sculptor and product developer in the toy industry for several years and I noticed this face was seemingly one of the harder ones to get right - So wanting...

    Sideshow Frankenstein Review

Thank you! It was a fun project - It helps that there is no real reference to try and match it too :) (Im still pretty new at the repaint thing!)

    Sideshow Frankenstein Review

Old thread but I figures it should be put here - Juts repainted mine tonight - A little heave on the shading but I like it.. Maybe a watered down skin tone wash to even things once the clear coat dries..

THE STRAIN (who will get the licence?)

Loved Book 1, liked book 2, was unimpressed with book 3 - I imagine if this series takes off they will do a Game Of Thrones and deviate from the books by the 3rd or 4th season! The designs though look very much to how I imagined them while reading, which is cool!!!

Re: 1997 Hasbro 12" Han Solo Hoth Repaint TOnight I did a face repaint of the SIdeshow DRACULA mini-Bust - From the set that was included with the Universal Monsters DVDs! I always thought Dracula should be more pale.. so I started there - - One the left is before, on the right is after...

Prop Would you pay a million dollars for this?

The listing is not only crazy - but misleading - When you read it, it sounds like he is kind of saying that this mask was in the movie... All it is is a rare 1975 Kirk mask. Mask collectors might pay in the 10-15k range, but you can get a REAL screen used Meyers mask for 40k or so... The only...

Re: Head Painting Practice - Han Solo Been working on this a little bit at a time - What started as a head repaint is becoming a full on project :) I dyed the coat a bit darker, and painted the boots (Which I liked at first but now I think they could be better.... Really happy with how...

Frankenstein Mini Bust face repaint - Post #16

Re: Head Painting Practice - Han Solo So - I toned down the harsh highlights and lowlights with a few thinned down washed of skin tone, and added some "color" to his face (He looked like he had too much foundation on!) better camera, too!!! I realize the base sculpt isnt great, but this was...

Re: Head Painting Practice - Han Solo Im really bad at mixing paints to match skin tones - And I also have a hard time figuring out what areas are more red, blue, etc... Been watching a lot of video tutorials and reading all I can find here
