The second version does that, allowing them the whole spectrum of development while still maintaining the storytelling necessity of the vast majority of them executing Order 66. With the first version, they are just simple minded automatons.

From a certain angle, Mendelssohn looks a bit like Mark. I think that’s it. It’s the eyes what makes that sculpt great. It seems HT can’t nail Mark’s big, bright eyes. They either do some Kirsten Bell’s eyes like the Tatooine Luke or somewhat dimmed eyes like ROTJ Luke.

A few quality issues aside, it seems Hot Toys did a good job with this release. For me, the throne was essential for what i had in mind. With the two versions, everybody walked away happy.

Nothing noticeably bad or lackluster on mine, except for the aforementioned wobbliness at the top. The paint looks good and uniform, no scratches and the electronics have been on for a few hours every day for a week. Honestly, I’m really happy with this.

I tried having the belt as low and tight as possible, and it didn’t work for me. The thing is, the fat suit really bothered me, bothered me enough to risk damage to the Luke. If it doesn’t bother you that much, I would just leave it as it is.
