you've gone deep now, love it, great photos and I totally get what you're saying & your example looks fantastic but I think for this I'm just going to stick with the metal scratch effects, It's a look I'm happy with, but I'll be trying the Masking tape trick before I apply the clear coat to try...

Woah! I never thought to do that, but that does make sense for the overall look. Yeah I'll be keeping the battle damage I think it really adds to the realism and gives it a real bad a55 look So the masking tape trick is definitely something for me to consider. Thanks again dude :)

What types of clear coat has everyone used on this? I have rust oleum clear gloss, haven't tried it yet, because I haven't finished painting it But was just curious as to what others have used? I'll personally like the glossy finishes.

A hot toys iron man doesn't fit in the 18" hasbro, I've tried but the front doesn't close when he's in there, shame!

Well I finally got the red on!!! Very happy with it so far, gonna let it properly dry overnight & start the detailing tomorrow

I'm still waiting for my Gaia clear red paint to arrive from east Asia so I started on some gold detailing, I'll mask it off and add another coat once the red is applied, I've actually ordered some Tamiya TS-74 clear red spray paint from a uk supplier because I'm getting impatient with the other...
