There are some missing mms numbers but I don't recall a cancellation announcement before
O yea for sure. I remember though that when it was up for preorder they def made it lol. Guess this film and actor isn’t something they want to represent

Translation: the pre-order numbers sucked. Getting waitlisted on SS is just their way of setting a certain number of orders to keep inventory from sitting in the warehouse.

I’m sure this was an unpopular figure from a film that bombed at the box office, but it sucks knowing that even an official announcement and preorder doesn’t guarantee you’ll get a figure anymore.

And while it doesn’t affect me here, I love many niche characters at times and would hate to see something I truly wanted cancelled after waiting so long for it.

So I can only hope these two cancellations are just very rare exceptions and not the harbingers of more to come.

Definitely find it interesting that a figure that’s wait listed at various retailers is cancelled. I can’t imagine the hassle for stores and all the customers asking about their deposits now.

Bingo. Folks are reading way too much into the waitlist these days. Sideshow learned a painful lesson with all the incredibly overproduced HT figures that will warm their shelves until the heat death of the universe: Captain Marvel, Stealth Suit Spider-Man, basically the entirety of the Endgame line... Batches are much, much smaller these days, and figures are going to waitlist more frequently as a result.

Honestly I wouldn't be too upset if they canceled the other Flash figure as well. I'm kicking myself now for ordering that one.

Just not interested in Ezra's version?

I was thinking about getting it since the prototype looked good.

Are the cancellations for thid and the Iron Man firsts? I don’t recall Hot Toys ever offering up pre-orders only to cancel them months later.

Pretty crazy. The Iron Man figure always seemed like a stretch in terms of demand and at that price. But surely if they had thought ahead they could have made this figure a limited exclusive of like 3000 and sold out on Sideshow in minutes.

I actually thought this was one of the more impressive looking figures they’ve shown lately, but wasn’t planning to get anything from the movie besides the Keaton Batman anyway. Based on this I’m thinking the regular Flash and Supergirl are going to be pretty limited as well and very hard to get a hold of after release.

I enjoyed the movie the first time through but found it cringey as hell on a rewatch. So don't really want to be reminded too much of it. Even if the figure looks pretty cool on its own.
I haven’t rewatched it but I feel like I liked it on the first watch because I was so excited to see Keaton return. I’ve had no desire to watch it again and thinking back on it and seeing clips it is pretty bad/cringe.

The fact that both figures being cancelled is getting more attention than the figures themselves ever got is all that needs to be said. Barely 2 pages of discussion on a figure that was first seen from June of 2023.

What a huge waste of time and money Hot Toys sinked into both when they could have gone into two figures people actually wanted.

I still don’t think there are as many buyers for even the most popular character as there used to be. It’s drying up.

Flash is one of my favorite superheroes, but I was always torn on this. It was a movie I wasn’t happy with, an actor I was even less happy with, and costume designs that didn’t always look right. I want a Flash for my shelf but there’s so many caveats and compromises I’d have to make. And given the film bombed, it likely sunk future prospects too.

I guess I can hope that Gunn sees value in giving the hero another go. Hopefully with Wally and a better actor wearing the golden boots.
