JND 1:6 Kojun works BATMAN ARMORY [The Dark Knight]

Not to add more fuel to the JND vs InArt fire... but combing through Facebook I've noticed that InArt is very communicative (in a positive manner) towards complaints, criticisms and general comments. Complaints and criticisms on the JND Facebook page seem to receive no response at all. They don't seem to be interested in engaging with their customers other than the over-produced YouTube videos that are completely content controlled.

It's been pointed out that the listing for Bruce originally showed rooted hair but that it was quietly removed after pre-orders were already placed through JND's site.

Mere speculation on my part, but I think JND jumped into the 1/6 scene because their statues and busts weren’t selling too hot. A lot of their products are still just sitting, even marked down.

Makes me wonder if they only get a few hundred people ordering Joker and like a dozen Wayne, will they still fulfill those orders? Would it still be profitable to go in production with them or would they just half ass it and call it a day?

Yeah. I stop by the statue thread from time to time and a lot of the JND die-hards are all desperately trying to justify their statue purchase. Just numerous justifications etc. about price paid vs statue received. I remember someone trying to convince folks about JNDs production capability by showing off the JND Gal Gadot Wonder Woman. Yet, you see other JND statues like their Battinson, Cavill Superman and Ledger Joker that just completely misses the mark...

That is an interesting theory, and one I had not considered. If they are trying to win on price, they failed. If they are trying to win on quality they have failed. Maybe they should look into Funko Pops?

honestly the speculation and theories that batman/bruce isn't performing well feel more true to me now with this video popping up.

joker didn't get this amount of attention

all i got from the video was the mind-numbing amount of times daniel mentions jnd and their patented magnetic eyes lol

Notice how they don’t give two ***** about the actual armory in the background despite it being a centerpiece. Yikes

It's cool to show how realistic the glass eyes are but I would have liked too see the H.S without the finger on it, but I must say that it looks super accurate but it still overpriced.

Sculpt looks good in this video. Still pricey AF. They messed up making Batman a power pose.

At least JND will learn swiftly that the 1/6 community aren't simps for sillicone.

When the value in a product isn't apparent, we ain't paying, irrespective of the character.

If they had done an ‘89 armory with Keaton in his tux, or Batfleck, I might have pulled the trigger, but I’ve already got the TDKR armory on PO, and if I wanted TDK, I’d just get HT’s for a fraction of the price.

JazzInc will most likely make one and at a fraction of the JND’s cost.

The ‘89 armory/suit vault is something I heavily covet, but if JND unveiled one for $1,800, I’d have to pass.

See, I think the silicone tech would be neat on a Batman cowl. If they implemented it on a 1989 Keaton, or Returns Keaton, or Begins Bale or Affleck BvS, that would be kinda cool. Have the head tilt, side to side, etc. Doing it on these plain clothes characters like Joker and Bruce is pointless though. They talk about how dynamic, action oriented statues inspired them and yet, you got two dudes in boring three piece suits. Oh yeah, the scene where Bruce quits and is ready to go to a press conference and tell the world he’s Batman! Let’s make an ACTION figure of that!

And before someone chimes in about Joker, nobody displays their Joker dynamically. It’s always head tilted down, eyes looking up, museum pose. The dude in the video mentions how “action figures only have a hand up and a head turn”, yet that’s exactly what they show Joker do in their solicitation pics. How about Batman clobbering Joker in the face, sending his head flying? Oh yeah, their Batman is a statue, How about Joker hung upside down from Batman’s grapple, cackling with glee? Oh yeah, Batman is a statue. How about the Joker on one knee, firing his rocket launcher? Oh yeah, he doesn’t come with one, just the same old knife, playing cards and grenade rig to hold at his side.

JND is off their rocker, and I think they know it.

Look how much resistance and bounce back on the neck joint on the proto already. The production pieces will have barely any decent neck articulation.

I just want to know if the armory can be removed from that base. Does that thing even have moving parts? I wouldn't have questioned it before but after learning that they would just make bats a statue it seems like the armory could just be a static piece that can't even close.

I appreciate how the difficulty of creating and finishing a mass produced headsculpt in silicone was emphasized in the video. Although, not much details were disclosed because of all the patent stuff so that can't be easily verified.

This Bruce Wayne set definitely seems like a bust for them in terms of sales. It's just severely lacking and as been mentioned a lot of times already, 1/6 TDK Batman statue with questionable accuracy doesn't do it any favor.

It makes me wonder if those paint apps on the face will stay or eventually fade especially if the collector reposes the head every now and then.
