I noticed last year they did.

Taxes are so flippin evil. The older I get, it's like why?

The worst part is it goes to nonsense. If there was accountability for taxes, politicians would reduce it....but nope. Instead more IRS agents and more taxes.

Yeah, seems like our tax mostly goes to funding wars and the military. I ordered Harley last October and there was no tax. Was gonna order Jubilee and saw tax applied today.

Most sure fire way to generate revenue - in a capitalist society. I'd rather see a national federal sales tax and do away with income tax. YOU control how much tax based on your own purchases.

I hope they do a regular edition soon.

Did not realize what a “low” run Gambit was (only 1,000 of the Timed) until I re-looked at the above picture posted by another collector.

For comparison, I was just looking at my Timed Skeletor box today and that has 6,100. Technically, this is the second or third time Mondo has released a similar 1:6 Skeletor.

Maybe it’s an apples to oranges comparison (Skeletor is the main villain and Gambit is a secondary character) but I was under the impression X-Men’s relevance was somewhat on par with MOTU.

And 90s nostalgia is slowly joining 80s nostalgia in terms of merchandise as the demographics shift with age and disposable income - Biker Mice From Mice figures are finally arriving, that might not been possible 5 - 10 years ago.

Mondo said on their Twitter in January that they were working on a Standard Gambit but that there was no official announcement, I hope this teaser means a rerelease, as cool as these are I'm not buying more if I can't get Gambit. Not really a fan of the whole timed exclusive thing with no standard announced especially when the Mondo store has become the only place to buy most of this line.

(edit: clarified my real issue is no standard announced with the timed)

I am fine with the timed exclusive as long as you order it during the window, you don't have to worry about it being sold out. Better this than an exclusive where there is a limit.

They generally have standard release as well so I kind of expect them to have that for gambit.

I was also fine with it until Gambit as suddenly there was no standard release, and on twitter last year when someone asked about it they were ambiguous if there ever would be a standard (though they later said they were working on it). It just took me by surprise, I guess it's all to make sure the timed version sells the maximum amount. But I agree it's fine as long as there is a standard eventually, even if they switch to only timed it's fine, but all I want is a warning first so I don't miss anything lol

Totally makes sense. With the she-ra they didn't say anything about a normal version but I think a year later, they released a normal version
