InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Gandalf 1:6

I really think it's a logistics thing.

The Hobbits have tons of tooling that has no reuse beyond....hobbits. They're just that small. I think even the HP kids are bigger.

Now they always could double dip and do Rohan/Gondor armor Merry and Pip (I'm shocked no one has done these yet anyway) as well as orc armor Frodo and Sam...but the argument is again, who would by alts if the iconic looks are theorized to be duds?

I anticipate that Gimli will happen, as the tooling can be used for both Thorin and, coincidentally, Tyrion for their GOT line.

"Patiently" waiting the US snail mail to receive my Gandalf . Cleared customs 6 days ago and now leapfrogging my state to go to the state on the opossite side of where it was while having to drive past my city. Hopefully tomorrow

A few will complain they don't want Sam but just Frodo, but the two make sense as a pair (more than 3 Phoenix Jokers). Also, if you want Merry, then you likely want Pippin, so that pair should work for the few who want them.

I'd even be Okay with a Hobbit 4-pack (though I understand that many would not)

As long as they make Boromir (most wanted) and Legolas, I can make it work with the Gimli and hobbits already in my collection (though I would definitely get IA versions of them all if they were made)

Yeah, since I only want Frodo, its a stretch for me to get a two-pack with him and Sam... but I'd do that. 4 would be too much I think. Then again, if I'm getting Sam with Frodo, then I'm only 2 little Hobbit figures away from the complete Fellowship... so... hmmmmm....

That is where I'm right now. Boromir is most needed as Gimli and even Legolas 2.0 are quiet good from Asmus. But there isn't a single good Sean Bean head on the entire market or even custom.

Got mine on Tuesday and even when it is late now here in Europe, took some pics in my favourite diorama.
Tomorrow I need to comb the hair and beard a bit.

I'd be down for a Frodo, hope they consider him at the very least

As ideal as that would be, I doubt they would go that route given the child versions of the Harry Potter Trio are all getting individual releases and are still the price of a full sized adult character.

That’s fantastic

How about just getting the Iron Studios 1/10 scale Frodo statue and stand him next to Gandalf and be done with it?
I can just pretend that Gandalf froze Frodo in place for being a nuisance.
I am not paying hundreds of dollars for a 1/6 scale hobbit.

Beautiful photos!! That diorama is incredible.

Word of warning though, I'd avoid combing or brushing the hair as you will remove the product. Try stying like a bit if water on your fingertips instead to hold it in place.

Damn, a 1/6 hobbit is tiny enough. Sticking a 1/10 hobbit next to a 1/6 Gandalf would be like Honey, I Shrunk The Halfling.

At the moment, with InArt Gandalf, Aragorn and Legolas one day, I won't have a Frodo on display for a very long time.

Mine came yesterday. Couldn't believe how fast the shipping was, and no pesky customs fees to worry about, which is just how I like it! I'm feeling a bit under the weather at the moment, so hopefully open him at the weekend, when I might be feeling better.

You're not wrong.

InArt first hit the scene in what, the beginning of 2022? Jokers went up for pre-order in March I think. Almost two full years in, and they've gotten two figures fully shipped (Joker and Pennywise) and a third trickling out ever so slowly.

I know they've promised to increase production, but training people and getting them up to their current standard is going to take time. So it's hard to imagine they'll even get to Frodo in the next five years, which is really just crazy to think about.
