As I've said from the beginning, Gandalf paired with Frodo and then the Three Hunters would make a fine LOTR display.

I only need/want those 5 figures. And a few villains would be nice.
Needs Samwise.

Do the three hunters together, and Gandalf with Frodo and Sam.

Frodo wouldn't have gotten far without Sam, and shouldn't be without him.

I'd be happy enough with Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli. Anything beyond that is a bonus since even getting those 4 alone would be a tall order from them. Frodo and Sam together would be neat and the cherry on top.

I am a servant of the Secret Fire, wielder of the flame of Anor. You cannot pass! The dark fire will not avail you, flame of Udûn! Go back to the Shadow! YOU. SHALL. NOT. PASS!!!

They have taken the bridge and the second hall. We have barred the gates but cannot hold them for long. The ground shakes, drums... drums in the deep. We cannot get out. A shadow lurks in the dark. We can not get out... they are coming.

I think this is my favorite one so far. Looks so life like. Great pics!

INART not considering Frodo and Sam is disappointing. They’re the main characters for crying out loud, the true heroes of the whole ordeal. I blame everyone on Facebook, as no one voted for them.

Of course the “Three Hunters” should be completed (Legolas should be the next announcement in the line) but Frodo and Sam also deserve recognition and high priority. Now we’re at the risk of not even getting them at all and seeing secondary characters/non-Fellowship characters potentially make the cut before they do, which I just don’t agree with personally.

I think it would’ve been amazing to see a complete Fellowship and I doubt that happens now.

I understand Frodo and Sam are not appealing from a figure perspective, but come on.

they can't do the halfings coz they can only charge 1/2 the price... :ROFLMAO:
That has always been a sticking point for collectors. A smaller size should translate to a smaller cost as a larger size usually comes with a higher cost. The sad truth is there is probably minuscule difference in cost of a 12” figure as there is an 8” figure. A little more plastic for the body, a little more cloth to cover that body. Probably a few dollars at most.

The fact Hobbits would cost about the same as a ‘full’ figure has always made them poor sellers. Look at their Harry Potter, another $500 figure that is probably close to the size of the Hobbits. The large diorama makes that more palpable but the standard figure isn’t far off from the other non-rooted hair figures. A large Bag End door diorama might help sell Frodo but is there something enticing enough for the other 3? A Treebeard bust for Merry and Pippin to sit in perhaps?

Make Frodo and Sam a pair offering. Same with Merry and Pippin. 2 little figures for the price of 1 large figure will help justify the cost.

A few will complain they don't want Sam but just Frodo, but the two make sense as a pair (more than 3 Phoenix Jokers). Also, if you want Merry, then you likely want Pippin, so that pair should work for the few who want them.

Harry Potter should be like 10” as he was 5’1” in the first film.

Frodo and Sam should be a two pack but not for the same price of a full 12” figure. The difference in height really doesn’t translate to a severe reduction in price.

Of course I realize each Hobbit likely costs as much as a full Aragorn, but people won't buy it if it is. You have to get the 2-pack down in price to probably around $650-$700 bare bones... and even that price will be too much for many. I would keep large fancy display bases out to help the cost. Keep it simple. Perhaps a deluxe can support a nice backdrop for the $1,000 price tag.

Frodo and Sam will sell much better than Merry and Pippin too, so you got to figure out how to get their 2-pack in a price range people will accept.

I personally think people would if priced accordingly and offered separately quite honestly. From OneSixthKit, I’d expect $415 USD maximum for a rooted Frodo. A reduction in price due to its small stature but not overly so. It’d still be a rooted quality figure.

Perhaps I’m being naive, but I’d like to believe people would end up purchasing if it came to it as you do need Frodo, Sam etc as part of the Fellowship. People are just getting caught up in the hype and of course would prefer other characters.
