Awesome picture, thanks for sharing it. I do wish I would have kept my order now that it’s actually reality…but I was just over it by that point….but it does look spectacular

Asmus Toys: Legolas @ The Battle of Helm's Deep

I think he looks terrific and the mixed media hair looks the best it’s ever looked...I’m not convinced on the face sculpt..sometimes it looks like bloom but I see a lot of cavil like others said..the legs looks well proportioned in the latest photo...tough decision

Asmus Toys Lord of the Ring Gandalf Gray

If you don’t have your Gandalf in hand I can almost guarantee that the eyes will not bother you once you have him (I say almost cause everyone’s different obviously). In person and in good photos this Gandalf is the definitive version and without spending loads of money on custom head sculpt...

I agree non articulated eyes are ideal and look the best but I can honestly say when you guys have him in hand the eyes won’t be so noticeable...the hat I think if asmus just threw in the v1 hat it would be an improvement, again you can alter the new hat to work it’s just in stock form it...

Yes the magnet keeps the hat on his head and your idea would work

The little cloth patch that covers the opening on the hat comes off super easy then You could remove the foam and the magnet in the hat and maybe stretch the opening a bit and it would be fine after that....you?d just have to take care not to damage the hair. Not making an excuse the hat is...

It does but the inside of the new hat with the middle removed is kinda ruff so i was a little worried to pull it down on the haired sculpt. The old hat fit more easily and seems softer (smoother) on the inside

Okay here’s a couple...I used the v1 Gandalf hat and pipe holding hand and the scarf....I ripped the patch off the new hat that seals the opening and used it on my v1 Gandalf. The pipe with the crown Gandalf is in his staff in case it hadn’t been mentioned before, it’s not missing.

Just opened him up and he is beautiful! Yes the hat isn’t great but I get it, it’s to protect the hair job. I don’t know if it’s been mentioned before but he does come with his pipe...it’s not been left out. The eyes look good in person I think they’re difficult to photograph and the hairing is...
