I don' think I'd class this as a remake but just a film that sits in the same genre as Cannibal Holocaust, as with other cannibal horror films (i.e. Cannibal Ferox, Last Cannibal World, Eaten Alive!). The subject matter might be similar but the same could be said for most zombie, vampire, ghost...
