They have also done the exact same thing to other competitors in the past. Personally I don't much care, there's not a lot of room for the moral high ground in bootlegging to begin with, and I say this as someone who chooses to buy unlicenced pieces when they meet my standards and interests, so...
If I hadn't already ordered the LIM version, and I was picking between them, I'd still go with the LIM at this point, and that's before seeing how things have progressed. The sculpt, especially, is far better to my eye on the LIM version, and for me that's the game right there.
That said, the...
Local retailers putting a bit of an extra cushion around future pricing due to how badly the aussie dollar has tanked in recent months has certainly had a lot to do with that, I think. Trying to import instead is even worse from most places, even before the virus hit. Gonna be a rough ride going...
Hmmm, already ordered the other one, should I get this one too...? :dunno
Lots of nice looking parts, provided the final version turns out well. If they improved the Marston sculpt and gave us an alternate version of the hat (with Marston's hatband and feather on it) and preferably his vest as...
Maybe my mind will change after I see them in context in the actual film, but right now not a fan of the prawn guards, personally. They just look over-designed and impractical to me, without enough of the coolness factor to balance things out.
Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Star Wars: Episode V ESB - Darth Vader
Damn it Hot Toys. Now I don't know whether to get the two pack, or just grab Tarkin on his own and wait to see how the ESB Vader turns out... :lol
I definitely need me some Boushh at some point, along with whatever ends up being her best look from the sequel trilogy. Need an old Leia to join Luke and Han, if only on my shelf. Other than that, I'm good.
Slave Leia I'm not sold on anyway, because I'm not a fan of any of Hot Toys rubber skin...
It's certainly possible. As is them including it in a deluxe release of Leia as Boushh.
Or they might do neither.
I guess you rolls your dice and you takes your chances...
As far as Doctor Who goes I just wish they'd concentrate on the Doctors until they've made them all. Modern companions are gone by the time Big Chief makes them, due to the massive turn around time, and as much as I'd love figures of the Brig, or Sarah-Jane, amongst others, I question how viable...
I like it, but I'm going to roll the dice and wait, because I honestly think they'll have these in stock for quite a while. So I'm going to hold out a while in the hopes of eventually snagging it for a more reasonable price.
