hey man, if you have that much money to spend per inch of a figure knock yourself out. The fact is that the majority of people do not. I don't see where silver paint and stitching is worth $10 an inch, but if you do have fun.
I don't think so, Star Wars was for a time affordable to most, fanatical fans and regulars alike. Figures at this price will definitely keep it from reaching as broad of an audience as Star Wars
Another poster at a Joe board broke the pricing down for this, Hadn't thought of it this way and it just makes this price even more insane.
$120 for a 12" figure
that is $10 an inch.
That = pure craziness.
We'll never get that because it would show how inflated some of the stuff is. Could you imagine if Sideshow did that for the Obi-Wan figure or this Snake Eyes fiasco? You would see that the figure should only be hitting around the $60 price mark if even.
It is easier to gouge when people...
I think he's going to be in the $250, possibly $200 price range.
Reasons:
-People have been waiting a long time for it
-The usual excuse-oil has gone up and he has alot of armor. However Sideshow has also been jacking the price up when the figure has a cloth costume and they talk about the...
Trust you...nah...
As far as Hot Toys and Medicom...yes they were always higher priced -and alot can argue over-priced.
One of the reasons Sideshow has grown to the level it has is due to the fact that they provided an alternative to people who wanted cool looking figures at an affordable...
yeah $119, they are on crack. I've been cutting back on my Sideshow figures for awhile now as they have continued to raise their prices without offering more for the price. At this rate they are going to price themselves right out of business.
Sideshow used to be a really cool company with...
Got this figure for Christmas, Awesome. I think it is the best Sideshow release so far as far as headsculpt and accuracy. The biggest plus is that we finally have a non-oversized head. The ANH Leia head is so big when I saw it in the store I decided to pass on the entire figure.
The One...
The hair higher up on the head looks good. I think that was one of the problems with the production version was that Viggo Mortensen has a higher hairline then the production figure and, although it is a little thing, having it be lower changes the look.
Great work by the way, I'm likking it
