Heheh, I have both HT Lokis; and I actually like the premium format prototype head sculpt the best. I just hope the final product looks as good as the prototype, since I just pre-ordered one. Now, the question is whether I *need* Dark World Thor to keep this one company....
This looks amazing. Thank you so much for posting all the pictures. I think the sculpt looks a million times better than the hot toys Dark World Loki. I can't believe I'm saying this, but i think the likeness maybe even better than avengers Loki. I seriously want this right now.
I don't...
Thanks! I didn't see a plastic tab. But I got a screwdriver for eyeglasses and opened the Aether. The plastic tab was for some reason stuck under the cover. Anyhow, I pulled it out and now it lights up =)
Hmm, my Aether won't turn on. Is it supposed to come with battery? If not, does anyone know where I can get a screw-driver so I can put a battery in and test it? Someone mentions that the screwdriver from the die cast iron man series works, but I don't have that.
Yeah, both Lokis have good and bad angles. But for some reason, new Loki is just a lot less photogenic than Avengers Loki.
That said, in hand, comparing the two at their respective best angles, I think new Loki actually wins. But if I'm looking at any other angle, I like Avengers Loki much...
The head *looks* bigger to me. I will try to measure it to confirm.
Oh, and some custom heads may be larger too. I was looking at the one from onesixthkit on ebay; and I emailed him to ask if the helmet would fit. He said he doesn't have the helmet, but the new custom head is bigger than...
He can hold the staff. The picture I posted earlier has him holding the short staff. I used the hand that has the finger out and half closed. He only have one of those, so if you want him to hold it in his other hand, you will have to steal one from Avengers Loki. On that note, the gold paint...
New Loki seems to be really asymmetrical. There are angles where he looks great; and there are angles where I can't bear to look at him. I am constantly reposing him so I don't have to look at him in profile (especially on the left).
I wish the helmet would fit. It would make the asymmetry...
I didn't use the grabber. I couldn't get it to bend very well; and I am paranoid about the grabber being too tight (and leaving marks). I know it's stupid, but I'd even remove the 'seat' of crotch stands and just let the figures lean against the pole.
The stand looks nice; but it's a pain to make Thor stand on it. I thought I got it; but then a couple of hours later, I almost had a heart attack when I noticed that Thor has fallen over and off the table. But yeah, I decided to try again (one foot forward and one foot back, kind of wedged...
