geez, watching that comparison video, never realized how sloppy the stitching was on the first figure. Glad HT retooled this one, can't wait to get mine from TimeWalker

It pretty much is the same figure with some tweaks here and there so it’s not like they will need extra time to design a completely new figure, that’s the only reason I can think of with such a quick release to the U.S.

They've been doing that with the last several releases. The first pics of the Royal Guard were from someone who received it in hand even before Hot Toys showed their product photos. If I remember correctly, ESB Darth Vader, Royal Guard, and the IM Mark 4 were all basically simultaneous; maybe JL Wonder Woman too? Seems like it's going to be the norm going forward.

Yeah, I thought that was shocking on ESB Vader, that it released in HK for around a couple of days and all of a sudden SSC already got him stock, ready to ship

Sideshow has a lot of power in the HT/SS relationship. If they demand figures quicker, more of a worldwide release, HT should and has obliged.

Does it really make things more difficult for Hot Toys? I doubt it. It protects HT number one buyer to keep demand high for SS as well. Both companies realize they need each other.

Really all it takes is for HT to delay the Hong Kong release a little to allow for stock to make its way to the US. The old method with a stateside delay made little sense anyway.

Love when a video is positive and upbeat and confirms the newer is definitely better. Then again, maybe it's just I like the confirmation that I ordered the second version

Great comparison video; the upgrades made are so effective. I think the first version is a very good figure, however the improvisations HT have done on the second are outstanding.
