Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

At the very least we got thr lead characters for STAS and Beyond.

Doesn't do anything for me without a villain or two, their primary antagonists at least, Luthor and Blight.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

MisterPL, did you work on the packaging for a possible Mattel animated line?
Answer 1 for yes or 2 for no. [emoji14]

That's a big 2 though I certainly could. ;)

And yes, that MM image brought me some hope. I thought it might be from last year as well but "Direct From the Source" is the new slogan for DCC so... [shrug]

What's the consensus on the Batman Beyond figure?

Aha, thank you. I knew there was something behind how confidently you spoke about Mattel having the license. I hope they can somewhat blend in with DCC's if they manage to fill some holes for us.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I think I am done. Seriously what a waste of money and time I and many others have invested to - as often happens - end up with an incomplete set.

I'd rather have none than be missing two or three major characters. No Two Face Scarecrow and Penguin is unforgivable. Especially considering we got freaking Fire safety Batman in there.

I'm 40 years old. I don't need this anymore.

Absolutely.

I have been burned by so many incomplete teams from DC Direct back in the day and then DCUC. And not just DC - the Animated TMNT Classics never did Shredder, Palisades Muppets died with big holes unfilled, DST Star Trek canned key figures too. After 20 plus years of collecting I cannot be bothered getting my hopes up any more.

S.H. Figuarts Lupin without Goemon. TMNT Figuarts without Shredder (both shown as prototype).

You're right! I feel disappointed :thud:

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

DCC uploaded a video with all the new stuff... no new figures. Can we have a hope for good news this weekend or is this the end of the line?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Everyone off the train. This is the end of the line. Train terminates here. To join another train please make your way to platform 3. The Mattel express will be along at some point to provide a barely adequate trip to your destination. Thank you.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I seem to recall in previous years DCC have had stuff behind closed doors to show retailers that weren’t allowed to be photographed. If that JL line really is happening, and we don’t see it at ToyFair, then there’s always a chance it’s part of some stuff not allowed to be photographed and that’s why it hasn’t been officially revealed yet.

How often is the behind closed doors stuff NOT leaked though? For some other toy lines (ex. transformers), stuff always leaks out

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Why everybody is so pessimist?? All I read is "The line is over" here and there... Can you guys wait for ToyFair at least? xDDD DCC haven't show everything yet. Im not sure abot this line too but at least let's wait for the EVENT not for the PREVIEW before to say things... ^^"

According to their own website that's all the reveals....

Well there was one year back when their Arkham line was going strong, retailers were shown the Solomon Grundy figure. Consumers didn’t get to see it until it was revealed by DCC Over a year later.

Another example is a good few years back, the guy running Action Figure Insider said on his site that retailers were shown the Roxy Rocket Rocket from the Animated Series line. We didn’t get to see that until SDCC later in the year.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Batgirl is another one from memory that was shown but not allowed to be photographed and was revealed about 6 months later. The DCC tends to be kept underwraps pretty well when they want it to be.
