Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Seriously? A big, expensive set like that and we have to apply the stickers? Argh.

They’re not so much permanent stickers as they are removable decals. There are different options for the screens so you can swap them out when you want to.

Damn that is not a good thing imo, I've allready saw that kind of removable stickers and if the quality is not super good in some years they will not work anymore and start to bend at the corners.. X_X I hope this is not the case for who purchase it though ^^

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

If they're like high quality colorforms i.e. vinyl sheets, it should be fine.

If not, yeah, it'll be completely ****ed.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Damn that box is huge. The batcave doesn't even look that big. Is there any pictures of it coming out of hte box? They might have been able to have more retailer carry it if they saved some space with the box.

Uhhhhhhgggg..............
Yeah no kidding. That thing looks like the only thing that’ll fit on the FedEx truck when they deliver it to me. Just what I want sitting out on my porch while I’m at work. A box large enough to contain a PC and CRT monitor:/

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Two years ago folks here were wishing for a Batcave in this scale and imagining how big it might be. Now you're complaining about how massive it is.

Tough crowd.

The box just seems like it’s way too big for what’s supposed to be coming in it. We’ll see.
Oh and considering the size of the box that DCBS used to ship my GCPD set in... yeah this thing is gonna be massive. Not that I’m blaming DCC for the size of the shipping boxes DCBS uses.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I'll admit I was a little stunned by the small coffin that showed up on my doorstep with the Batwing inside. I don't see how it could have been smaller without a LOT more assembly. I suspect the Batcave has the same vacu-formed trays holding components in place. That base alone seems pretty big.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

What legitimate Batman variants are collectors interested in? By "legitimate" I'm talking about things seen on screen in film, on TV, or on the web and in the comics tie-ins, not Kenner concepts. For me it's:

HARDAC Batman (both BTAS and TNBA flavored DC All Access short)
Retro Batman (Mask of the Phantasm)
Strange Days Batman (From the 75th anniversary short)
Batman Beyond (Bruce in the suit)
"Legends of the Dark Knight" Batman (Sprang influenced)

I'm leaving out ones from Justice League (like Justice Lord Batman) since we're not quite there yet but I'm sure there are others from the show that I'm missing.

Great list! The retro Batman should come with an additional new headsculpt of the unmasked Bruce Wayne with a loose cowl hanging off the back (the original could be improved upon and it was missing the cowl part). It would be a combo of two scenes from B:MotP.

As far as Batman variants go, a black and white shadow Batman from The Forgotten would be easy to make and look really cool.

Also, we haven't gotten a truly be-all-end-all Batman yet. One that has ab-crunch articulation and a removable belt. He should come with an additional smiling headsculpt and thumbs up hand, a sad headsculpt, Red-eyed HARDAC head (the HARDAC would already come with two headsculpts- "Terminator damage" and full robot) a solid closed-front cape, Bat-handcuffs, Bat Throwing star (used on the show quite a lot), exchangeable chest logo (with a slice across, cables coming out of it) and the Batman: Mask of the Phantasm spread cape from the poster (which was supposed to be included with the Expression Pack set).

I'd also be interested in a fully silhouetted Batman and the two crooks from the show's opening roof top fight. They'd be all black, except for their eyes, as well as highlights. Would look really stylish in a 3-pack window box with a painted backdrop.

As for what the final piece of this line (which hopefully continues for another year or two), the only truly fitting piece would be this:
A dramatically painted Batman with electronic glowing lightning, a skyscraper roof base, and a sculpted skyline backdrop.

Im pretty sure to remember they said it came with some cardboard background. Probably that take space too inside the box, even if it's bendable in 3 parts. Whatever, we just have to wait for the first YT unboxing. I'm wondering what terrible YouTube channel DCC choose this time to send a free sample of this.. xDDD

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

It's not the box, I've seen it in person. The main circular base and computer are massive.

Sadly, it doesn’t look like any YouTube channel got a free sample this time. Looks like someone is going to have to bite the bullet and purchase one in order to review it.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Literally no shelf big enough for it.

$300 to sit in a box in storage. Can't even just use the computer cause of the pegs. Ugh. Should never have bought it. Or the Wing. Total buyers remorse.

I wasn't complaining about how big the batcave itself is. I'm fine with its size. I'm just wondering why they wouldn't consider making it into smaller pieces so that the box size is smaller and retailers are more likely to carry it if they can show multiple of them on display instead of just one.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I have mines ready to ship from DCBS just need to add some funds to my card to get it charged. till then i'll being looking to where i will put it, might have to move some items to another shelf.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

That thing is ridiculous. I'd probably get one if I had the space, but I passed on the Batwing and I barely even have room for the Batmobile.

Is there anything else coming down the pipeline right now aside from the Jokermobile and a couple of expression packs? What's the next likely event/time they'd announce something new?
