Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I repainted Catwoman's face, Bruce Wayne s eyes and Christmas Joker s eyes. I dont understand the reason why Dcc doesnt make more accurate figures...

Thank u Zelu...your artworks and customization are inspiration for me : clap

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Great job, especially on Catwoman's eyelashes. Makes you wonder why they painted the eyelashes below the sculpted ones twice.

I hope they will at least give us a Batboat (never been done by Kenner, only ERTL made a die-cast one), a Bat-cycle, a GCPD Police Car, a BTAS flashback Batman costume (retro Batman), as well as fill the missing slots. It would suck if the line was done with now. It can't end like this. Everybody loves this line, why would a new management be interested in seeing it cancelled? Especially with this being the 25th anniversary of the show and the Blu-Ray release having just been announced for 2018.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Would anyone want to see the Animated line continue in single packs in the larger 6.75" scale? Justice League or Green Lantern, for example?

I don't want to see a line "continue" in a different scale than it started in. If a company can't keep a line going in one scale, then start over if a format change needs to happen. I don't need a giant scarecrow and two face.

No. The animated line should be cohesive. There's already small scale discrepancies amongst the figures in the line. We don't a huge one. Also, they need to make more Batman Beyond and Superman Animated figures before they move on to Justice League and Green Lantern, which technically isn't even part of the DCAU, although it was developed by Bruce Timm.

If they can give us Gods and Monsters, they can give us Green Lantern.

That was a bit of an experiment with trying to capitalize off of and promote a brand new cartoon. And by many accounts, the sales weren't very good. It was a great cartoon, but they might have done better giving it time to cement it's place in the pantheon of DC animation and in the hearts of fans/collectors.

It was the Bruce Time style. It was animated. I'll accept it as precedent to justify a Green Lantern line. :)

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

FYI: BBTS will be shipping the GCPD Rogues Gallery today - Got an email stating as much 😁

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Didn't they say they were doing the Batcave review at DC Collectibles Facebook at the beginning of the month?

Does anyone know what happened?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Probably didn't happen because Kevin Kiniry quit DC.

Yeah, I know. That sort of makes me uneasy. First we get the rumor their new boss wants to focus more on statues than figures, and then you get Kevin's resignation and all comes to a halt. An Alfred figures is always a red flag in my book. Generally means the profits are waning down considerably (pun intended, Wayning.)

Has Kevin made any type of public statement as to why he left DCC?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Wouldn’t exactly all that a rumor about the statues. Kevin and Jim were saying this on the convention floor that there would be a heavier concentration on statues and less so on figures. They also stressed the need to increase preorders to show the higher ups the demand for figs is strong.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Boring time for this line. :D Till we're waiting for new stuff I'm having fun trying to customize spare figures. Here's my Jet Black Batman WIP. :) I like how looks, kinda remind me Tim Burton's Batman :D Can't wait to finish it but now I have to wait paint get dry xDD

Cool start! What kind of paint are you using, blebble? I've been thinking about making a custom Batman myself and I was planning on using acrylic paints. Those seem to be the preferred media.

thanks! Im using acrilic spray paint, I've just heated up Batman and removed the torso from the legs, masked bat-symbol, gloves and boots and then started paint. I've used a plastic primer before to add the paint and for small spots and joints I've hand painted with small brushes. In-hand looks better than photo :D Is not a difficult job, only need patience xD

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Oo! I didn't realize the torso could be removed from the legs! That's useful.

I want to repaint an extra Batman in the colors of Adam West's costume. I'd like to create a new belt for that, too. If I ever get around to it I'll share pics.
