People are dumb I think. They should have done their research before signing an ARM. If they couldn't afford their mortgage then what made them think they could afford it two years later when the interest rate shot up. It was all in the contract that they probably didn't read because they were too lazy to. Sometimes, and I mean this seriously, people only have themselves to blame.

I do think some lenders did take advantage and sweet talked people into thinking that things would be okay down the road when the interest rates kicked in to high gear....but the borrowers should have known that no one can predict the future and they should never have put themselves in such a position. I was thinking about buying a place a year ago....but then chickened out...glad I didn't now. With the price of everything going up as it has...what I would have been able to scrape by and afford last year would be seriously hurting me this year.....I've been known to spend more than I should - but something big like a mortage would stress me the hell out unless I knew that I had a fixed mortgage rate and could afford the payments without struggling AND that I had a job that was stable.

Right now would be the perfect time to buy...if only I could sell my current home for what I paid in 2003 I could upgrade in space for the same price I paid then. Granted, would probably have to clean up some pissed off ex-homeowner's crap.

Prices have dropped a bit here but not too much. The only thing really going for buyers right now in my area is the desperation of sellers. It seems that house sales for the most part have become stagnant. You could lowball a homeowner and they just might take the offer to move on. The bad part for sellers is I don't see an end to this recession anytime soon. Maybe homes will finally go back down to a reasonable level again so that I may be able to purchase one. Here's hoping.

message detail Ive been playing for about an hour but it seems like they took so many moves out. all i have is 3hit combos cant wall run no air grabs while you beat the $&% outta them on the fall down. The game is good so far but it doesnt seem like a sequal. I dunno mayb i have to unlock that stuff but theres no move list. Hope it gets better

message detail The guys that did Ultimate Destruction are working on a game called Prototype. This game is made by some guys that do movie games like Sharks Tale and Over the Hedge. It would have been awesome if they could have gotten the UD guys to do this, but no dice.
