The base is a no brainer. I'm calling it now you'll see this:

displayed with him but it'll never get made past for Howard and it'll get everyone into a frenzy. You'll see it follow the lines of the Millennium Falcon cockpit and people will get all nuts, even an Imperial Officer will be released and people will be sure it means it's coming without a doubt and it never will. By that time though all the Vaders will have been gone and HT won't care.

I understand he's working on a 1/6th Executor Super Stardestroyer so Vader can stand on the bridge.

It's going to be about two miles long. Might fit on top of like 3,000 detolfs.

You're gonna need a bigger detolf.

I could see them revisiting Bespin Luke around the same time, and giving him and Vader connecting dio bases.

All the Vader look almost identical to my eyes (with the exception of the chest controls).....the purists will be happy. I think most people would struggle with seeing the other differences enough to buy 3-6 Vaders...

Indeed! It took years and years of being a Star Wars fan to realize there was two different Vader looks (in the original trilogy).
I've tried countless times to show my friend that there was differences between Vader and Fett's costumes..he still can't see any differences what-so-ever. lol - like not even the different colored gauntlets on Fett.

The one thing I hope for in this Vader is a more accurate dome and mask. The one used for the ANH and RO Vaders was very good, but off in many key areas. This is their chance to perfect it so I hope they will not use the same sculpt

The eyes are the biggest let down on the ANH/R1 mask...they're too big/wide...the neck is a tad too long as well and the little indents under the eyes should be more pronounced. It does look like they've got rid of that silly nose plug for the ROTJ version. The dome is still excellent though..but needs to lose the widow's peck..

I agree that the ANH HT Vader does have bigger eyes than he should but the R1 costume does have these bigger, more ESB style eyes as far I can tell, so the latest release is accurate to the design choice made in the movie.





The dome section on this ROTJ version seems to be the exact same as the R1 model which is a shame considering the fit of the dome section is the most obvious change compared to ANH, especially the widow's peck section.








They seem to get the silver on the belt correctly though. I still don't understand why they used a darker metallic paint on the middle circle section of the R1 and ANH belts.

While I understand the differences between costumes, when I look at my RO Vader now on the shelf, all I see is just Vader. A really cool and shiny looking Vader that seems to capture all the best aspects of the character. So I'm not itching to get another version at the moment (especially when I have so many hundreds of other figures I still need to get).

I will pick this guy up. Been wanting a Vader/Anakin unmasked sculpt and this Vader will most likely come with that.

I'll get the HT ROTJ Vader when made. Sold my Sideshow ANH Vader, the HT RO one and the Medi ROTS. Now I only have a Jazzinc modded HT ANH Vader with RO gloves, and ROTJ Medi.

I agree with everything you mentioned, though I do think the flare on the ANH/RO dome still isn't perfect. I think it should curve in very slightly and I believe the ROTJ dome was slightly shorter. Also, the sides of the ANH/RO MASK go in at an angle that gives it a slight fox-like appearance.

I just noticed that the triangle on the underside of his mask is the larger, ESB/ROTJ style, which may mean this is a look at the finished prototype.

I did mention that days ago... along with the nose plug fix... but people are focusing on the widow's peak to disprove. New mask, old dome.

Pretty sure there's more new there than meets the eye.
