I didn't have any problem with that line. I know that some people do and some people think the physical performance was wrong and/or the outfit sucked - I didn't find anything noticeably off. It was Vader to me.

I find it odd that Vader didn't tower over Krennic.. I don't think Mendelssohn is that big of a guy..I could be wrong :dunno

Just finished... WOW -- I so love this movie. It's just so engaging.

And I even like the music (except for the bit at Vader's House Arrival music). It felt very old school and "fresh" in many parts, like hearing the original Sandpeople music for the first time.

Question: why did Mon Mothma age so much in 4 years?

Also, I always hear this line and forget to mention it but the stormtrooper throwaway line about "ending the BT 15" line is so funny because, as you may remember Khev, in ANH one stormtrooper asks another: "You seen that new BT-16"?

That embrace with Jyn and Casian while the score is playing in the background while the cloud of explosion covers them was a thing of beauty..Like those old classics deaths in Hollywood's past that fans will always remember.

And how bizarre that they cut right to the planet showing the smoke up to the Rebel freighter like Edwards was saying " Okay they died..but life goes on and their deaths were quickly erased "

Wow what a moment

I know, I always laugh because it has a fun absurdity about it. Like all Stormtroopers are completely obsessed with whatever those T-15 or 16 speeders are (or ships, guns, whatever you want to assume they're talking about.) "Hey have you heard THE rumor?" "Oh yeah, the T-15's are finally marked obselete." "It's about time." Like if you just ask about "the" rumor to any random Stormtrooper he'll instantly know you're talking about whatever machine that is. :lol

And agreed about the music. On my first viewing I didn't know quite what to make of it given it was the first non-JW score in a SW film I was hearing. But on repeat viewings I absolutely love it.

I was just reading an article on how Nolan is romanticizing war with Dunkirk and here comes Edwards in that interview Khev posted saying war is hell people die wish for peace war is not a grand adventure.

I'm guessing Edwards did not like the ending to TDKR. :lol

Pfft. Nolan who? What SW movie is he directing?

I'm really liking the special features on the blu-ray so far. Lots of little glimpses of alternate scenes, some of which I'd never seen referenced before (like Jyn and Cassian battling Stormtroopers while wearing their Imperial costumes.)

I also liked some insight they gave to a couple moments on film.

Like Jyn taking down Stormtroopers with that baton on Jedha. That sequence was actually one of my top two criticisms against the film (the other one being the gratuitous Walrusman cameo) because it just didn't make any sense to me that she'd whip out a stick and start hitting people when she's already carrying a *blaster* in her other hand. But they said it was because Jyn has such a hatred for Stormtroopers that she couldn't resist wailing on them in close quarters even though it was tactically dangerous. So I like that sequence more now.

Also that since Cassian had lost his family at an early age that that was the reason he didn't fire on Galen. As an orphan himself it hit him in that moment that he wasn't just going to take out a political target, he was about to assassinate someone's *dad.* And he couldn't do to Jyn what had been done to him years prior.

Shes a red head, defies all space expectations. Damn guys i guess when i guess my digital HD copies early than three weeks ill post the same amount of comments you guys made about how i felt after watching the movie LOL. I know they spicied up the effects big time since i had the chance to play the cam hd rip of the flick compared to the new copy, but hey what do i know, we know the blu ray ultimate edition is coming out in six months. Or maybe boxed in with the Pt and OT boxset

Well Mon Mothma could have aged so much because she is one of like 5 women in the galaxy. I am sure she made the rounds so to speak. :rotfl:panic:

Whew, just finished watching it.

*lights a cigarette

Spectacular!

Ok for starters the soundtrack improved for me, what the hell lol.

Act 1 and 2 improved, wut how!

The movie is just gorgeous to look at.

The scale of everything in frame is superb!

K2SO is amazingly written.

That 3rd act!!!

I love when Saul tells Jyn others wanted to hold her hostage meaning the alliance just as much as the empire so he abandoned her.

Love how Saul thinks she's been brainwashed by the alliance and she's there to assassinate him.

Love how Jyn says that the rebellion has only caused her pain.

Galen's message to Jyn and Saul was well acted by Mads!

So messed up that an alliance bomb killed the scientist who was helping them!

Truly a movie worthy at the very least keeping company with ROTJ.

One flaw though, when Cassian had his sniper rifle zoomed in on Galen and he decided not to shoot why didn't he kill Krennic instead who was standing right next to Galen.

I finished it as well and remains a top three SW film for me. It really brings back the excitement I had for the SW franchise. Kudos to Edwards or whoever great cast, story and film. Why I never give up on the franchises because no matter how many flops / average films they churn out every once in awhile we get a gem. Eye on you WB.

Only complaint is I don't have a Cassian Dollie yet......everything "off" film wise is mediocre at best so easy to let it pass.
