My EX version arrived yesterday.... #461. Batman TDK is very nicely detailed.. my paint apps are flawless and love the fighting stance. He will look great displayed with the upcoming joker... The EX sonar head flesh color is a bit dark but not to bad.... just a nit pick really. Congrats to all who have/get the EX and the regular version. Happy Holidays!

If it doesn't, I'll just send it back lol.

Will you get a replacement or just call it a day and pass on this piece, if it turns out to have problems? I didn't want to return mine since my problems were an easy fix. They only bothered me because I like everything to be stock, not to mention the fact that you really shouldn't have to replace capes and touch up such expensive statues.

That's because they are not blue LED lights like the QS001 had, just regular lights that shrine through the blue paint, which is why they are not as bright as the ones on the QS001 Sonar head.

I had considered getting an EX on the secondary market for a bit more than what I paid, but I just felt more comfortable buying from Pop Cultcha in case I'm not happy with it, as I can return it, plus I get pennies, which I can use on a future order. Comes in handy.

I really only wanted the Ex for resale value, as I can't see myself using the sonar head. It does look cool, it's just not the sculpt I would display the statue with full time as I prefer the normal look with the eyes as its how he looks throughout most of the movie. Even with the QS001 I never used the sonar head, so it didn't seem worth it to get the Ex if I wasn't going to use the extra headsculpt.

Now if it came with an accurate Bale sculpt, I definitely would've gone for the Ex. Not accurate I know, but I always loved displaying my QS001 with the Bale sculpt as it made the figure look lifelike.

As for getting a replacement, yeah I would. I think I returned my Bruce Lee 3 or 4 times because I really wanted that statue lol.

I don't think I'd go through the same effort with this though. I'd return it once and if the replacement is not up to my standard, I'd either return for a refund or accept it as is, with a partial refund if the issues aren't bad.

I will mention though, Pop Cultcha do check their statues better than Sideshow do. I made sure when they sent out my last Bruce Lee they checked for every possible flaw I had seen on the previous ones, and they even sent me pics to confirm I was happy before sending. Great customer service.

I really want this Batman though. Looks like it will make an epic diorama display with Joker.

It's not worth it just for that, especially since the lights are not blue LED ones like the ones on the QS001. Besides most of these EX statues don't sell that well anymore. That being said, the resale value was the reason why I was so disappointed with the flaws on mine because whatever way you slice it I have to sell a damage statue and that part just really bothers me.

Ah its accurate enough, the face shape is off as it looks more like a hero masculine face with the square jaw seen in Batman comics. However, the facial likeness is quite good as you can tell it's Bale.

As for getting a replacement, yeah I would. I think I returned my Bruce Lee 3 or 4 times because I really wanted that statue lol.

You can't check out the statues yourself. Pop Cultcha have a retail store as well as a warehouse, which is their headquarters. The warehouse is where they keep the majority of their stock and it is where they ship from. They don't open statues for you to inspect before you buy them, although I believe when ordering online you can phone them up and ask them to inspect...although I've never done this personally.

At the retail store, they have a lot of premium formats on display, but if you want to buy one of them you need to purchase a new one, not the display one. If they have one at the store, you can purchase there, otherwise you go to the warehouse to grab it.

Yeah I was always planning to get it if I got Batman. I wouldn't get one without the other. I don't think the sculpt is that bad, it's just not great. Looks good from side on, but from the front it looks a bit weird. I have no doubt though that someone will be offering custom sculpts for it, lol. At least that's what I'm hoping for anyway.

Chatted with SS rep this afternoon and she had me order regular with free shipping and my rewards points. Then tomorrow she said she will cancel regular and tranfer order to exclusive. Glad I asked. Paid little over 50 bucks for him. Also Tony Mei's custom cape arrived today.

Well, I've only been to the store once. In terms of things like premium formats, they didn't have a lot in stock. They got some on display in display cases, not sure if you can buy those though. As for the warehouse, I've been there to pick up my Bruce Lee. It's a pretty big warehouse and it's where they do all their online ordering and stuff from, but you can't just go there and shop around. To be honest I don't know of any store that would let you open their stock before you pay for it, because essentially you could open it and say 'nah don't like this one, open another'.

The chin/jaw looks weird from front on, that's whats throwing it off. I find most Joker sculpts don't look all that great from front on and usually look best from profile or on an angle. I always displayed my DX11 head on an angle as it looked the most like him that way. As for the Premium Format, I do see some likeness, personally I don't think it's as bad as you make out, I just think it looks a bit cartoonish and not very realistic. As I'll display it sideways facing Batman anyway, I'm not too fussed. I think it looks great from side on.
