I get the feeling these will be around for a while, or am I wrong?

So, 6500 total ES on this sounds about right. Can't say I'm surprised given the reasonable price tag on it. I'm sure we would have got a lower overall ES on this if SSC charged the $900 to $1000 everyone thought we were going to pay. But then, everyone would be bitching about the price. Me...I'm happy to be paying just $650 for this piece. If that means a higher ES, I couldn't care less.

I think it's a fair trade-off. I expected something high.

You're right though. Someone would complain either way. I think the price is very fair on this, but it came at the cost of the ES.

I conquer also! Very fair price. ES blah. It will eventually sell out in the end.

If they pushed this release earlier to Feb/Mar 2017 but when the time comes and there's a delay from that new release date, does this constitute as a reason to cancel the order and getting back the NRD? Or does the original estimated arrival date of Aug 2017 stick?

I'm no lawyer, but I'd think that if they can't honor the projected date, you should be able to get your NRD back - Meaning, since the current ETA is Feb/Mar 2017, if they can't meet that, then you have a right to a refund. The Aug 2017 date should be null and void since they already went so far as to change the Flex Pay schedule for all customers.

I'm yet to see a trade off here, the Vader PF for instance. Incredibly expensive at the time, ES of 7500. One of my favorite items of recent times, the Prometheus Engineer maquette, fairly standard price of the time, ES of 700. The price will be set, the ES will depend on how many can be sold and or how many people buy during the TBD period. Lowing or raising the other doesn't seem to necessarily have an affect in all cases. Not the best set up for us, but it does make sense business wise as long as it's working. I was surprised at the price of this however, it's still expensive to the point that you'd probably tell a white lie if your partner asks how much it was, but compared to other similar items, it could have been much worse regardless of the ES.
