Damn this is a good looking suit...

I'm also on the fence because its between this and the quarter scale version. This looks great but is it safe to say the quarter will blow this one away? Decisions.

Almost safe to say. !/6 comes with more but the 1/4 is another beast with size and detail. I couldnt decide and are getting both.

Outstanding shots, Motux! :clap

So I just realized that this guy will arrive on the same day I am leaving to go on vacation...the Wednesday after this ships, July 13. (In the past, all my figures that ship on Thursdays have arrived the following Wednesday...East Coast problems, lol) The question is...do I want to have it held at my UPS Store for a week until I get back, or do I want to call Sideshow and get expedited shipping at the cost of presumptively outrageous shipping fees? If it were any other figure, I'd have it held and wait...but I don't want to wait on this one. Ugh...dilemma. :lol Does anyone have any experience with expedited UPS shipping of their Sideshow orders, and how much more it would cost?

On the quarter they have all these extra lights? Are they actually seen onscreen or is it something added to the quarter. I ask since the 1/6 does not have them. Thanks for any answers.

I think the 43 1/4 blew away the 1/6. But I don't think the 1/4 Mark 45 will do the same. It seems to me that this incorporates a lot of elements of the quarter 43, and I expect the 45 to just be basically a bigger version of this. It's paint job isn't even more accurate anymore since they fixed this one. Plus this figure is in scale with hundreds of other hot toys. The 1/4 is in scale with about 5. Plus the diecast, plus the price difference.

But to each his own I guess.

No, it's not shown on screen..but it was part of the design of the suit. THey just didn't show it. That happens with most suits. There's more to them then the limited screen time they get.

It's not on the 1/6 simply due to space and cost. To get the electronics crammed into that little space isn't simple. It's the same reason the 1/4 43 has things the 1/6 does not.

The 1/4 has the lights, but the most significant difference is something else. The way the arms and legs move they have this expansion effect that isn't on the 1/6.

I don't recall seeing the extra lights on screen.. But I haven't looked close enough at every scene to be sure.

I think they'll update the 1/4 version with a similar paint job, plus you have the added lights and the articulated bicep/calf panels.

I think the 1/4 version will be more impressive, but that tends to happen with such large figures. I have no interest in it though, I prefer the size, variety, and price of 1/6 figures.

The 1/4 figures no doubt make for fantastic centerpieces in a collection though. I think if they make a 1/4 of Tony's final armor, I'll most likely pick it up. (Along with the 1/6 version).

I'm still surprised they're going to fit all of those lights into the XLVI.
