Flashbacks and flashforwards have their own music??? No... I didn't notice!!!
The flashbacks have that build up of base music and they go to the flashback. the flashforwards don't have any music, they just go to the flashforward. This episode, there was the base music that went to sun's flashfoward and jin's flashback.

I think I did notice that on a subconscious level because at first I was thinking Sun's was a flashback until they showed she was pregnant, but I never put any thought in why I thought it was a flashback when I expected it to be a flashfoward.

New question for you-- did Sayid and Desmond ever see night while on the boat?... Like Coleridge's Romantic poem Rime of the Ancient Mariner I believe that the boat is frozen in one moment--hence the two were placed in "captivity" so that they wouldn't see that it's day time ALL the time. The cabin fever that the captain spoke of could be similar to living up north where it's sometimes daylight 24/7... Zoe Bell (who jumped off the boat) and the blood stain from the obvious suicide were those who couldn't handle it anymore. As the preview showed Sayid on the boat in the nighttime if this theory is true then next week they get the boat moving again away from wherever they're stuck (possibly towards the island as they're arming up) and the pause is broken.
Just a thought.
Darthrazz, if they weren't meant to die in the crash then (and it's the six) they'd be able to leave. I still don't understand Richard however, as I always thought, as one of the others who befriends a young Ben, that he was on the slave ship the Black Rock-- (remember birthdays Richard?- Ben)-- but if that were the case then the island would have a fountain of youth aspect that must work outside the island as he was one of the ones to go and get Julia... His character's ability to leave the island perplexes me.

Zoe's got the green hat... She's a stuntwoman who besides being in Death Proof (where she rode on the hood of the car) she was the stuntwoman for The Bride in Kill Bill, among many other movies...

I loved this ep, like most, but I do take issue with it in one respect.
For the most part, the flashbacks/forwards have served to either advance the plot or develop the characters. Even if you thought the flashbacks were boring, they usually told you something new or important about the characters.
But Jin's FB seemd like it only existed so that you weren't wondering where Jin was during Sun's FF. When you look back on it, we know Jin was crazy with his job, we know who he worked for, we know he had a temper, and we know he gets +++++ done. So his whole story was just kind of a pointless diversion to set you up for the sucker punch ending. I feel like that's kind of a cheat...but whatever, I loved it until I thought about it later.
Regardless it was clever.
On a personal, but related, note - my fiance's birthday was Thursday, and being that we're Lost (and Disney) fanatics, I give you the crude but effective Dharma brand (mouse station) birthday cake -

I think Jin is still alive and that's why Sun was calling his name during labor.
It's easier to forget that you're supposed to pretend that he's dead, rather than the fact that he is.
And regarding Jin's FB, I'm sure there's some connection between the bigwig he gave the panda to and Whidmore. Like the whole boat building thing...

i kinda hope your right but the emotion sun had at his tombstone leads me to believe that he really is dead.

Is this the last season??? They are really living up to the title of the show!!! Cause I'm LOST!! Man you really have to follow this thing close to have some chance of keeping up!! So what do you think happened to walt? And if the island is keeping people alive how are the others dieing and not coming back? Like echo? What happend to the dang cabin??? Why was saheid(spelled wrong) working for Ben was that a forward or backward? I'm cornfused!!!!!!!
