The knee armor is held on by magnets so you can reverse them. Depending on what scene in ESB it is the knees can be seen upside down or correct. Upside down knees are accurate for the carbon chamber though.

Awe man don't tell me that is the final product. I was looking forward to purchasing this piece.

I already have a buyer lined up for my 1:1 Don Post Boba Fett ROTJ statue from the 90s and I had planned on swapping it out for this piece, but if this is indeed what the finished product will look like there's no way I'm dropping close to $8k on it. He's so thin he almost looks anorexic and has a giraffe neck which just makes it look even worse. My DP Fett isn't accurate either, but at least it's a rare piece(less than 200 made) that is still sought after by collectors. Sideshow's definitely won't be numbered and will not have any collectible value in the future. I'm glad I saw these pics before I sold my other statue. I guess the only avenue left is finding someone who could build me a screen accurate custom piece.

Very disappointing to see the production piece turn out like this. Not worth $8k for sure! I'm glad I went with building my own 1:1.

Do you have pics of the one you built? I'm seriously looking into that option now after seeing these pics of Sideshow's production piece. I've been given the names of a couple members on The Dented Helmet that do commissions so I may go that route if I can find someone who will build me a complete statue.

If I had pre-ordered this(which thankfully I didn't) it would be canceled immediately. Can Sideshow make any finished pieces look like their prototypes or have they just given up completely? I was dying to order the 1:2 Iron Man Mark VII LSF based on the prototype and then the finished product came out which ended up looking like something that was made by a 12 year old. I guess the bottom line is I'll be saving a helluva lot of money by not ordering anything from them in the future. :/

On statue forum someone received his, the paint work and weathering look quite nice. The neck does indeed look terrible, and the head does not seem to sit on it like a human head would. Also it's a bit skinny. Also the helmet is too skinny too, or it's an illusion created by the long neck not sure ;p The guy seems pretty happy with his purchase so I didn't continue disparaging it there as I wouldn't have gotten it anyways.

I'm actually building a custom Boba Fett, its costing a lot more then I thought it would. And all the parts and armor have to be painted etc. The price for the SS fett doesn't seem as ridiculous anymore, although the one I'm building will be more accurate and wearable.

No sense in disparaging someone's purchase but what a disaster this turned out to be. It doesn't capture the spirit or grandeur of the character in any way, shape or form. Even if it didn't turn out to be 100% screen accurate, it has to capture the spirit of the character and this thing looks like a cheap, emaciated giraffe. The prototype was a real piece of art, especially comparatively speaking now.

Just saw that Sideshow has 4 of these in stock. Does anyone know if they fixed all the issues? Also it looks like they are taking pre orders again. Hopefully all the kinks are worked out.

Last I heard on the RPF these were cancelled. Not much warning or explanation from SS. Everyone kind of assumed the QT was a mess on a figure this big. Being super iconic, the fanboys will scream unless they hit these out of the park. Especially at $7000-8000 each.

I also wonder if the new movie has anything to do with them putting big projects like this on hold?

I ordered the ANOVOS Vader costume and plan to find a mannequin and display it myself. Probably for half the price.
