For a two year wait, this better be the best statue ever.

I logged in to Sideshow today specifically to cancel this and had my finger hovering over the button .... didn't press it though
....likely in the next few days I'll press it. I think at this point I'd just rather have the $500 in my pocket....

damn, i think this is the best Conan for me ,, I have Sideshow Dio as well, but if this comes out with any QC problems this is gonna be the Conan to have,
Has any of Sideshows POs taken more than 2 years to be shipped,,,also didnt they reduce the ES on the exclusive

I have it on order through a local retailer (Europe) so sending it back is not exactly an option, but if it's not up to standard this time I'll go to any extent to have my money back. I don't care if I have to smash it with a hammer and pretend it arrived that way. This is one of the best pieces I've ever seen and I'm really praying Sideshow has at least some respect left for what they put out. Screwing a sculpt like this would really be a crime imho.

Lol, you're right. It bumped from 150 to 200. Whatever it is, I know I canceled my Ex with the excuse of the ES increase, so I could have my NRD refunded.
I came to the conclusion that ordering a Regular locally would have been enough, and in hindisght it was a great move. With the current exchange rate, customs taxes would kill me if I had an Exclusive coming.

The funny thing is, six months or so ago when this was in the coming soon section I got spooked and put it on flex. I think this is the first flex I have ever had to get the final payment delay. Really don't understand why they are having such a hard time getting this out. Since I have a reg (with a discount) on order, was never going to cancel as it was too good of a deal, but damn are they trying my patience with this one.

Yeah, the flip of the coin is that after so much time, the price point on this one really looks like a bargain today. Huge and detailed base, huge and detailed character, awesome dynamic pose, great mixed media... and only 10$ more than the AA Joker. The very limited ES is the icing on the cake. I think the multiple delays are due only to the fact that (inexplicably, to me) this was poorly received.

At the time everyone was scratching their head at the price and the pose wasn't well received. It does look like a bargain now though. If SS hits on the QC this will be a gem.

Yeah. Looking back I can't believe the amount of ridicolous criticism this one has gathered. First people waiting to see ARH Conan (lol, well played), then people bringing up the Arnold Conan PF. I owned the Arnold Conan PF, it's nowhere near this PF, one of the most overrated pieces out there.

Don't worry. By the time this is released, it will be standard PF price.

Sorry but, not really to me. Good Arnold likenesses, good pose, awesome base. Overall subpar paint app, especially in the war paint areas and where hair meet the forehead, filmsy sword blade, blood effect could have been done SO much better. It doesn't help that mine came with A TON of issues - chipped forearm, bent sword hilt, one ripped hole of the belt, scabbard unglued due to poor amount of glue used.
Don't get me wrong, overall it's a good statue, Sideshow nailed the pose, the scene and the overall feeling - but there's a huge room for improvement. I'd pay (I paid) retail for it, and not a dollar more. Looking forward PCS 1:3 Arnold Conan, will probably cost less than the current aftermarket price of Sideshow PF and be a much better statue.
And hopefully, this Rage of the Undying will be in my house BEFORE the PCS Arnold Conan, lol.

PS: I thought Arnold PF was released in 2009? Or is it 10 years old for real?

ARH Conan - Conan himself looks great, but slave girl was oddly off, which is surprising since they handle female and nudes so well. Snake looks great, but design didn't make sense. Who keeps a captive snake with a collared chain? Why would snake slither in and out of solid floor? I couldn't make sense of it... but I will admit it has a presence.
