Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I'd love a line from Superman TAS. Tim Daly is awesome as Clark/Supes.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Hi, all!

Finally got my Joker this week! I'm completely blown away by the sculpt! He looks amazing and so dead on!

The only thing - really - that bothered me was the teeth lines (so to say - the "black lines"), which were far too much prominent. Which is sad, because they all come with the lines drawn... We can't choose.

So I decided to repaint his teeth and get rid of the lines.

What do you think? Would he look better with the lines?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

It looks 10x better without the lines.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Joker looks much, much better! and no worries about the card, I'm glad you used it ^^

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Hey Zelu, would you mind explaining the super glue trick? I got Man-Bat this week and having the same trouble with his leg joints. Really hard to stand him upright with the joints being as loose as they are.

Joints are very loose. Not only on the interchangeable part of the wings but the legs are the worst! He cannot stand properly even with the stand due to the fact that the figure is too heavy for this stand. I guess they were worried that vol. 1 had the tight joint issues to they made them more loose and on my Man Bat they just don't work! The super glue trick did the job though! :D

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Sure, so you put the super glue directly on the joint like you want to glue it still but once you apply the glue you move the part/joint until the glue gets dry - this makes the joint tighter. If still loose apply again. Just make sure the glue is dry before you stop moving it. Work like a charm :))

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Pretty sure we all want the entire DCAU :)

Also, as a heads up - turns out that BBTS would NOT take an exchange for bad paint. They'd give a refund, but you have to pay return shipping. It surprised me because I know they've done it for Transformer toys before.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Yes, but not ignore the BTAS line. Keep em coming!

Not to be a downer, but until they fix their QC issues with the materials used, I think it's best they focus on one line at a time and perfect it IMO

There is still a lot of improvement that desperately needs to be done with this line. :lecture

Thanks Zelu, I think I'll give that a try! :)

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Kevin Kiniry seemingly confirmed that we'll be getting an improved Wave 1...eventually.

Exclusive Interview: Kevin Kiniry Talks DC Collectibles 2015 Plans

"So as we go back to the first wave, and want to either update those or produce more because we’re out of inventory, there’s going to be these new improvements put into these figures as well. You’ll be able to see it too! Like those pin-holes in their thighs? You don’t see them in wave 2. So as we go back to say, make more Batman or Catwoman, since those two are planned to be always in production, we’ll cover up those peg-holes and it’ll be noticeably different."

THANK YOU! :clap

Now, when will we see them? :impatient:

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Nice. I'm very glad. I feared since they already made Bats with the better plastics we wouldn't see the pinholes covered.

^^^^

LMAO!!!!

Horrible repaints! LMAO!

I have the Mad Love comic book (the complete BTAS comic book adaptation, actually) and I love it! Great story!

Curious that just yesterday I was reading it.

Too bad they simply repainted the original figures...

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Does anyone have info (from FB maybe?) on when we can expect to see Batman and Catwoman re-released without peg holes?
