I got fooled by the feedback score. The other scamers had noticeable problems with their feedback, this guy fooled me.

And I explained that. A couple times. At length. I pretty much described exactly what you did to get scammed. How sellers build up feedback. How people get fooled. Like exactly man.

:lol

Yep, this guy is the reason scamming is still a cash cow

Alright......I ****ed up......let's move on. It just shows how innocent people like myself get scammed. End of the day.....if it's too good to be true.....it is. I got it now, and i LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES.

This thread is so derpingly annoying. Why would you warn people away from scams just to fall for the same scam.

There's a new generation of interneters expecting free money just given to them. Also that's gonna keep the eBay fees spectacularly inflated for sellers. It would never even occur to me to gamble any amount of money even with the money back guarantee, which is why I have never really gotten scammed after a decade or whenever.

Let's trace OP's extraordinary path from common sense to madness:

Agreed Lipsmack. That's why I am surprised to see them popping up so often. They are 100% transparent. I know it's a scam, you know it's a scam, why doesn't eBay realize this?

Igor for $49.99.........24 people scammed in 24 hours.
Hot Toys 1 6 MMS215 Iron Man 3 Igor Mark XXXVIII 38 | eBay

37 sold. UN FRIGGING REAL.:slap:slap

But these $50-$100 Hot Toys scams......I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot poll. Way too many red flags IMHO.

I'm taking a chance on these, ordered a Thor and Robocop. The guy has good feedback. Only thing I see bad is import fees. What do you guys think? Too good to be true? Or did I just get SCAMMED! LOL.

Crazy....I know. But the seller has good feedback. 100%. 27 positives this month. I dunno......seems too good to be true, but I'll keep you guys posted.

I'm my own worst enemy.............sigh. Try to put a little faith in humanity...........screwed yet again. eBay Money back guarantee, I see you in my near future, lol.

Regardless how you feel about the subject, it's against board rules.

E. Controversial Topics (Religion and Politics). Because they are so detrimental to the cohesion of any community, we do not allow the discussion of political/religious views, religious/political figures, or social issues that will inevitably draw members into a heated debate (e.g Evolution/Creationism or the politics behind gun control, abortion, etc). It is unrealistic to believe that a religious or political viewpoint won’t work its way onto the site in some fashion (e.g mentioning you will pray for a sick member). It is important to remember that the purpose of this policy is not to limit your ability to express your beliefs but to limit the division often caused by discussing/debating differing points of view regarding these subjects.

Stick to the topic, please.

Thread cleaned.

It's ok man. You don't need to apologize. But if you ask for advice it might be a fair idea to take it. Lol

You didn't hurt anyone, much, lol, so no harm.

Amazing. You find this funny?

So I just won a war Machine mark 2 for $150 in a one day auction. The guy selling them had about 5 for sale. Along with 5 die cast mark 3s.

The account shows that the guy was selling scarves before that. So if the sellers account was hacked how does the scammer get paid since the funds to into the hacked seller's acct? Unless they hacked both the eBay and PP accts.?

The Seller's account has not been 'hacked'.. scammers build up an account's feedback by selling scarves, socks and handkerchiefs.. then go for the big pay day.

Why would you want to bid on an obvious scam?.. the scammers much of the time, do not get paid.. but they get away with it, just often enough, to make it worthwhile.. (not to mention bragging to their mates about it, who then give it a go as well).

Combine that with the moral hazard, of people gambling on getting the 'bargain of the century' but being able to get PayPal to refund their money when the 'too good to be true' deal, turms out to be.. *gasp* ..a scam.. and you have the reason for eBay and PayPal's expensive fees.. same goes for insurance premiums.

There is no such thing as a free lunch.
