I pre ordered it last night, I also told myself it was going to be my last year collecting Marvel stuff. but, man this Iron Man looks better than the 42 and has more accessories. Used some Reward points and it came down to $234... good deal to me

I don't believe this has more accessories. The base is really nice but this has no BD parts to swap out like the 42.

Did I actually SAY the Hulkbuster would be $600...? What on Earth was I thinking... $750 minimum.

My maximum for Hulkbuster is $700.00..., if it's over that then I'll just have to pass on it, can't be bending my limits, I can probably get 3 other suits for that money anyway & I'm all about seemingly getting value for money. :)

I'm probably gonna stick to the same limit, I mean its a one of a kind Hot Toys figure and probably their most ambitious figure, it will surely be a future grail figure(especially if its limited)

I do REALLY want it but I have to look at what I'd miss out on even at the $700.00 mark & to be honest if I do buy it for even that much it'll be the single most expensive collectible I've ever bought so that's a big deal for me anyway. I'd love to say stuff the cost, I'll get it but we've still got Blue Steel to come yet & I'm sure Tank can't be far behind..., I'd like both of those as well. Just have to wait & see what the damage is I guess..., any idea when it'll go up for preorder as the reveal is in 2 days (or so I've read)???

Hey remember even if Hulkbuster is over $700-800 most of us have a lot of reward points to use to help bring the price down. I myself have $160 now and will have $230.00 by the first week of January. I probably wont order hulkbuster right away, I'll just wait for all of my points to become available by the first week of Jan and I am all set, if the stock gets low before the first week of Jan I will place my order with whatever rewards I have at that time.

Because I only buy exclusives from Sideshow I forget about reward points, I'll have to remember to take them into account when looking at the over all prices (retailers as well). :)

Usually BBTS and the whole "no NRD" thing means they go to sold out pretty quickly and they still have this available, makes me wonder how long the Exclusive will actually be up for pre-order for at Sideshow.

Depends how many people can get past the fact it's just a repaint really, I for one love it & bought it as soon as it was available to preorder from my retailer..., it looks really impressive & I can't wait to do an in hand comparison with the mark 42 figure. :)

i think if you want to safe money then buy the mark 42, its almost the same figure.

Mark 42 got damage items that you can but on the figure
Mark 43 only cool base right?

Yep, pretty much. Not to mention a lot of collectors prefer more red to gold on the suits. And AoU will almost undoubtedly be a much-better received film than IM3.

yeah but they dont look right and it doesnt match... its actually a bigger disappointment of the 2. plus MK 43 is back to traditional dominant red. the body they both use is awesome though so Id suggest people just get whatever paint they are more attached to (plus IM 3 was **** and the 42 was a retard, soooo yeah...)

I've shared this somewhere before but looks like this guy gets to save money on another figure. I think this looks awesome for a custom repaint.

not really money saved if you take into account all the supplies required to do this... but yeah looks good

I liked all of the Iron Man films myself, all had good humour in them & had decent story lines, the only thing I didn't like initially (apart from the colouring of the mark 42), was finding out that who we thought was a very cool baddie was infact just an actor..., that didn't work for me & at the time (when I first saw it), well it *******d me right off, having watched it a few more times since I'm now fine with it all & let's face it, Guy Pearce is a great actor & played the part well. :)

I don't understand either, I mean the logical thing he's gonna do now is he's gonna buy the 43 and repaint to the 42 :lol :lol :lol

What are the odds of HT going for a matte finish for the red, instead of the glossy one? I honestly think the 43 looks better with matte red

This is why I couldn't buy the figure. The suit was just a dumb comedy sidekick/prop. It had two cool scenes; Tony's house being attacked and the Airforce One rescue and the latter scene still managed to turn it into a joke by the end of it.
