The articulation on this body is great. Looking forward to that new BD paintjob.

Getting ready to rush the passer? That the iron man jj watt pose?

It's a good photo. Just football was the first thing to pop in my mind when I saw the photo. Not trying to make fun or anything.

It does look like a three point stance lol

Yep. I was going to say three point stance but wasn't sure if anyone would get it. Glad u did. Iron man would kill it at DE for sure. I'd love to see an avengers/heroes football game. Lol

Probably because we cancel whenever a new sexier figure comes along :lol What company made your cars? all my diecast cars from when i was a kid (a long time ago) are fine.

Strangely my Hot Wheels and Matchbox are fine too. It's the more expensive and larger cars that are essentially turning to scrap metal before my eyes.

$70 Murcielago - Autoart
$85 Nissan GT-R R35 - Autoart
$90 Audi R8 V10 - Kyosho
$100 BMW M3 Coupe - Kyosho
$175 Lexus LFA - Autoart
$230 Bugatti Veyron - Autoart

All developed what I call paint rash. After closer inspection it turns out that the paint had a "rash" because the metal underneath was bubbling. The smooth glossy finishes have turned to something resembling sand paper and any attempt to polish the surface removes the paint. It's caused by impurities in the metal and sometimes it is so bad the metal becomes unstable and crumbles. This happened to my Anson Plymouth Prowler. Poor thing :lol

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMSD0 - Avengers: AOU - Iron Man Mark 43 (Reveal + PO Next Week)

It does look like the mark 43 is sharper & more defined in areas..., thanks for sharing the picture. :)

They've made more use of fine black lines along the panel gaps...adds a lot of depth and perceived sharpness.

Lots more painted damage as well...so not just a straight swap.

They did the same thing on the 42 with the lines.... Just not on the proto pics (which is what that pic is from). The production 42 looks much sharper than those pics.

Even if a figure is 100% reused that doesn't mean design time is not involved. And very few of these figures are just complete repaints. And even if they are it would be normal that a die(mold) would need replaced or repaired. There's also assembly. (Look at how many pieces an IM figure has compared to say hawkeye, or thor, or batman)

Raw materials. License fees. Manpower. Shipping (can cost up to or over 100k to get one container shipped from China to usa, thru customs) Getting approvals. It takes a lot of time and money to make these. They have to meet individual market standards and be tested. Even adult collectibles.

Compare this to a line like motuc. 75-90% reuse of parts on most figures. Subscription only(more or less). Cost has gone from 20 each to 30each. Near zero articulation. Limited paint apps. Heck even the newer Giants (classic figures in 12 inch) cost nearly a hundred per figure for about as simple a figure as you can imagine, with almost complete reuse of tooling. For figure cost I've heard for each articulation joint it can add 10-20 dollars per figure. That was awhile back(ten years ago) so I'm sure the cost has dropped as better tech/manufacturing has emerged. But still, when a 12 inch motu figure cost nearly a hundred bucks you can see why hot toys cost what they do.

make me wonder how much is a much is the breaking point untill we as collector just said FU !!

I know I will probably get a little heat saying this... but this figure makes me regret putting the Ex Mark III on PO, really liking this design and colour scheme so it may have to be done, may have to wait to see if any UK based companies get this up for PO to compare prices this time.

I told myself I was going to wait until Infinity Wars to buy an Iron Man figure, but I just could not resist getting this to pair with the Ultron figure that's bound to release. I pre-ordered it, I need to stop looking at Sideshow late at night.

Anyone in HK able to confirm the EX head fits onto the suit? Budget Stark you around buddy?

Good to know, thanks for sharing that with me..., I thought maybe I was imagining it for a while there. lol :)

Happened with mine too. Maisto to be precise. Toyota LC, Lexus LS400, Ford GT90, BMW R1200R - all of them developed that 'paint rash' over time. Even the plastics on a couple of them deteriorated. I guess that has to do with the quality of metal used and not die-cast in general cuz my Bburago Bugatti EB110 and assortment of Hot Wheels, Matchbox and Majorette cars are still as good as new. :yess:

I've preordered mine now, got it for £224.50 after my discounts (it was £250.00)..., so it's about $365.00 in total at the current conversion rate (that's including delivery)..., I'm happy with that as it would've cost me $480.00 to buy it direct from the Sideshow website (including shipping, customs & handling fees), saving over a hundred bucks means waiting a couple more months after you guys get your figures is a small price to pay..., & a red eye glowing helmet isn't worth $10.00 extra to me, let alone $115.00!!! lol ;)

I've shared this somewhere before but looks like this guy gets to save money on another figure. I think this looks awesome for a custom repaint.

I'd like to be able to do things like that but my skills are limited really when it comes to paint jobs, I can paint a room just fine but figures, well I guess I can paint them too but they don't look too good when I'm done. lol ;)
