Why so bitter? :lol

Not bitter, but there is no way in hell Tomb Raider is beating out Street Fighter. And I'm not even a fan of the newer SF games, and I firmly believe it's a bankrolling lock as an exclusive.

Sony should have saved their money and just come up with their own Angel Knives exclusive. :idea :lol

Hate it hate it hate it. I really hope this trend dies a quick death, but I can't imagine it's going to do anything but escalate. Going to end up plunking down the cash for all three consoles this generation, I know it.

The Stig doesn't get mad. He just overtakes. :lecture

Wii U has zero interest to me outside of Fatal Frame. I got a Gamecube and Wii and they both became paperweights pretty quickly.

I don't really understand what Square stands to gain from this. The last Tomb Taider was critically acclaimed and still need double dipping with a rerelease to meet sales expectations. How do they figure limiting it to one console is going to change that? It's smart on Microsofts part because they have nothing that's going to compare to Uncharted but as good as the last Tomb Raider was do we honestly think it stands a chance against Uncharted?

When Hitman 6 hits if it's exclusive ima be mad.

That really is my concern too; dont care that its exclusive. If it was a PS4 exclusive, I'd be ok; on xbone, worried that it'll severely limit the audience

How would it being a PS4 exclusive be any different? Yeah they have more consoles sold but they're not so far ahead of Xbox that it would make up for not being a multi platform release.

It really should be on both but I guess they will learn when it doesn't meet sales expectations, then Again maybe it will. Microsoft probably has more reasonable goals.

I hope they're keeping PC out of their stupid console warfare. It used to be that console fanboys were stupid. Now, it's console executives.

Pretty much every Xbone game that has come out that was an exclusive eventually made it's way to PC. I don't think PC has much to worry about. It's just more money in MS's pocket.

Just as Xbox will probably get a Street Fighter 5 super hyper turbo bajillion hit combo edition, PlayStation will more than likely get Rise as well. The only crappy thing for gamers is that if you're sticking to a certain console and want to play the other consoles game, you're in for a bit of a wait unless you bite the bullet and get that console.

The only people that suffer from third party exclusives like this are the gamers.

Nooooooooooooooooo! I wanted to buy this on PS4.

I was hoping the exclusive thing meant that Xbox would get it first and the rest would get it later. Screw you, Microsoft and Square-Enix!

Maybe I am missing something but the article still states that there is a duration on it

A Square Enix representative reiterated Spencer's comments when approached by Game Informer this week.

"Our partnership with Microsoft on Rise of the Tomb Raider does have a duration," they said, "but we aren't discussing those details at this time and are focused on collaborating to deliver a great game on Xbox One and Xbox 360."

It could mean anything. It could be like Ryse where I believe MS was the publisher.....on Xbox and then as you know, crytek published it on PC later on. Whether this means it's coming only to PC after or PS4 as well, who knows. Or it could mean that rise will and always will be a Xbone game but the following game will not be.

I think the thing to remember is that square said this month's ago and MS only yesterday said they were publishing it. Things could have changed between now and then. It's probably gonna be a while before they talk anymore about what it all may mean.
