The Freaky Awards - what's your favorite 1/6 figure of 2014.

I should have Robocop in the next few days... so once I have him in hand I think that will probably be the last new figure I'll get in 2014. Supposed to still get R2 and Plissken in December, but I'll believe it when I see it

So, far I think the BD T-800 is my favorite, or maybe the Adam West Batman. However, Robocop could take the prize... so I'll reserve judgement until then.

I totally forgot West Batman and Ward Robin were this year. Unfortunately, the snags in the Batsuit affect his score in my mind, but with the Tony Mei replacement suit he is top notch. Best stock Hot Toys figure I picked up this year with no mods is probably that Robin.

I didn't snag my suit... but I was super careful as I knew it was an issue But both Batman and Robin are incredible figures... I do think I prefer the T-800 over them though.

Yeah, I should get my custom Dredd stand soon, the one thats selling on ebay at the mo. Then he will be complete.

I think I would say the Dredd fig was probably the biggest surprise of the year, in terms of figure releases.

SS Bats, great fig and glad I have one. Joints are a bit wonky though, as SS bodies seem to still be a step behind.

My vote goes to the HT Iron Man Mark 42 which mops the floor with previous RDJ IM releases.

Igor may take this spot if it's released next month.

Can one of the categories be Most Anticipated figure for 2015? 2014 is/was/will be a big transition year for the hobby in hindsight.

I think the categories would be:

-Best male articulated mixed media figure (so the new 1/12 figures could be nominated in the same category, heck you can even nominate a Bif Bang Pow if you're feeling like it)

-Best female articulated mixed media figure (could be Tonner or Living Dead Doll or Barbie, whatever fits the category)

-Best accessory/vehicle/display (sold separately)

What else?

There could be endless categories depending on how you want to break them up of course. They seem pretty general right now, so maybe a Best category like you have but that would fit a non-male or female figure -- like a robot or creature or alien.

Maybe best all-around tailoring?

That would make a good category and one that Michael uses in the Poppies - best figure "line" - so you could nominate Batman '66 or 3A Halo. But more than one figure would have to be released this year. So even if Tyrion does ship in December, the ThreeZero "Game of Thrones" wouldn't be eligible for best "line."
