Here's pics of mine. Vid is uploading soon. In my vid I show a before and after and I compare him to my custom Police Shootout. However these pics show him after I did the neck mod...beefed up his chest pecks and popped up the jacket collar.

Got mine in a few days ago. Only gave it a once over for inspection and then put it back in the box but my initial impression is one of disappointment. I think the head sculpts are a little weak, particularly the lesser damaged one. They both look soft. I don't know. Maybe my opinion will change once I take another look. I feel like it looks better in everyone's pictures and video then it does in hand.

No, that's a fair assessment. I didn't get this because as a stock figure, the proportions are all off - head in relation to the torso in relation to the legs. With a few mods, it can look pretty good, but it shouldn't have had to come to that.

I think the head sculpts look much better in person. The mods are easy and only take a few minutes to do. I think overall the figure is great. However opinions vary of course.

mid nextweek I get mine, hopefully I love it! I most likely will.. but to hear taking one look and putting it back in the box makes me wonder.

What are these mods? I'm thinking on buying this figure since there will most likely never be a 1/4 scale with the battle damage from T1. The idea is to buy this and the DX13, and display them together. I normally collect 1/4, but since it is Terminator I'm tempted to make an exception.

Hey man..well I can't speak for everyone because other mods may have been done that I didn't do. The quick and easy ones that improve the figure fast is popping up the collar. They are held down on the jacket by thin threads and easy to undo. Second, take the head off and stuff the neck to widen it a bit. Some use tape and others used cardboard and so on. I used foam that I had laying around. Finally I took off the shirt and added foam underneath his rubber chest piece to pump up his chest a little more. See pics above. That part does require the most work which is to undo one of the sides of the rubber chest piece so you can get access to stuffing something underneath. But its easy to cut and glue back. I have a video that I will post here later where I talk about these mods.

That's an interesting idea, not something I thought of and yet it seems so obvious - it's what everyone's doing with the neck after all. So even with stuffing under the chest you were able to get the seam (where you presumably cut) to line back up and reglue it properly?

I've seen your pics but I'm curious what it would look like in person. I'll try that on my next kitbash, this month hopefully.

Hey a-dev...yeah I was able to glue the sides back. I customize a lot so I wasn't scared to cut the sides but I can understand some not wanting to. The one side kind of pulls of. The other I just did a small slice. I stuffed the foam under each peck and then glued the sides back. Honestly even if you didn't glue the sides back..the piece still stays in place and doesn't interfere with the functionality of the body once the shirt goes back on. The foam stays in there nice and snug either way.

I will have a vid up real soon so its closer to you seeing it in person. LOL...I show the figure normally first and compare him to my older custom figure. Then towards the end I show him after the mods.

Cool thanks. I'll definitely try this, probably with cotton as I've used in the neck. If it does the job it's a better solution than my one which involved swapping the muscle chest with that of the MMS117/136. I've done that with 2 figures and while I'm satisfied with the impact it has on my MMS238 figures I don't think I can live with the noticeable skintone difference I've created on 2 of my Tech Noir figures between their faces and the more tanned neck of the MMS238 part.

The doubt I have though is that I may want to bulk him up more than you have done and then I'm not sure the muscle piece will be able to be reglued. I'll find out.

How's the Jacket material compared to the other previous Terminators ?
been "touching" my Hamburger Face (pictured) & MMS 117 , just as I feared some of their jackets are flaking already.
