I can't even begin to believe Khev was talking about The Winter Soldier in that review post. Wow.

All right it's been a few hours. Time to watch TWS again.

Missed this in the theaters so I finally got to watch it when I got the Bluray. Absolutely as good as everyone has said. I loved seeing CA do stuff that showed he was a super soldier, and the takedown of the quinjet was freaking awesome. Fight scenes rocked, all the characters were how they should be, and the story was solid. Definitely in my top 3 Marvel movies.

I'm reminded of seeing some of those older action movies for the first time like Lethal Weapon, RoboCop or Die Hard where you go "okay, that wasn't Citizen Kane, but what I just saw just made one hell of a mark and will be remembered for a long ass time." TWS really is the benchmark going forward . . . TFA but TWS really does pull an ESB with how much better it is. Only a few movies have so many iconic scenes in the beginning, middle, and end of the film. The SW OT, T1 T2, Jaws, Raiders, I'm looking at you guys and saying, "Hey, you've got company."
Yeah, I was just thinking earlier that this movie makes Citizen Kane, the Seventh Seal, Casablanca, and the Godfather look like amateurish, DTV Steven Seagal movies. Or maybe even tossed together Cinemax softcore pornos. You're generous to rank Jaws, Empire Strikes Back, and Raiders in the same league as this masterpiece.

At first I thought it said Jews, only after rubbing my tired eyes did Jaws come into focus. :lol

Oh I know we're all supposed to be cool and pretend like awesome movies stopped being made in 1981. Nope! Add this one to the list. :lecture

:D

:exactly: :lecture :exactly:

Watched the deleted scenes, they were cool for the most part but I'm pretty much glad that they were all cut.

I totally agree with the Russo bros that it would have been super cheesy to keep referencing "Budapest" as part of BW's past just to have another link to The Avengers. At some point Budapest was going to get as much lip service as all the references to the New York invasion. :lol However it was interesting to see Pierce make mention of being skeptical of Rogers' chances in taking down the helicarriers because before that I was a little confused as to why BW says, "are you still on the fence about Rogers' chances" since it seemed like she was referencing a previous conversation. Well now obviously we see that she was.

Also the whole hiding his stealth suit in the city gym didn't really sit that well with me. What if HYDRA had charged in, guns blazing? There were tons of teenagers in there playing hoops. Or dropped a cruise missile on the building a la Camp Lehigh? Sure Cap wouldn't have known about the possibility of a missile at that point in the story but the guys with guns in a public gym just didn't seem like something Steve would set up. I'm glad it didn't make the cut.
