what could blue steel come with though to justify it? It cant have a tony head since its a drone, don't know if it would still have blades, or a bd chest. And would it cost more or less than the SC? Knowing HT they will not charge less than they probably should :dunno

Exclusive Pepper Potts head in Mark 42 helmet:lol

Nothing but the essentials. Take cues from Midas, came with basic extra hands and interchangeable parts. Blue steel will probably be the same

I just got this yesterday. I like it, but this one AND Python feel cheap in comparison to the Mark XLII diecast figure. If this is the way Hot Toys has made Iron Man figures before the diecast series, I'm glad I hopped on board just recently. Red Snapper (who is also mostly plastic) feels nice and weighty in comparison to Silver Centurion and Python.

Don't get the wrong idea - I've just had $40 figures that have weighed in more than these guys and it makes me question the integrity of Hot Toys hard plastics. It's easy to conceal cheap plastics with great paint if you know what I mean. It could be the reason there were some cases of broken parts with the diecast. Those broken bits were plastic. Maybe less hollowing out in future releases?

I will post some pics of the Centurion later. It is a beautiful piece to look at and I do like it a little more each day that I have it.

I think the plastic figures are just generally light really, I prefer some weight myself but I'm not sure why..., maybe the heavier it is the more I feel I've got value for money. lol ;)

Exactly. It feels like I'm not getting my money's worth.

Re: Hot Toys Iron Man Mark 33

I don't feel like I'm getting my money's worth when I have arms falling off of my figure

Re: Hot Toys Iron Man Mark 33

Try having sixth scale rotocast figures. Hahah. Way worse.

I'm fine with the weight of the regulars, less stress on the joints.

After getting my 42 and seeing that it's build design issue, that's all I want in my figs

I just got this in today and have a question. Mine came with no plastic covering the figure inside the clam shell, is this normal for this figure? as every other IM figure I have had it on there. Thanks

Think it varies from piece to piece. Mine didn't have a plastic cover inside the clamshell either. But Python did if memory serves. So it just depends.

As in taped bags around the arms, legs and head?

Mine didnt either, didn't really think about being my first until Python arived... which was a much more exciting buyers experience as I also didnt get a shipper with SC.

Thanks guys for the info. I checked some youtube videos and they don't seem to have it either so it seems to be normal, just seems strange that they didn't put it on there as it helps protect the paint and small parts. Cheers.

Opened mine today, noticed that on both hot toys and sideshow's website it says this figure comes with stand with transparent pillar, but I got a flexible pillar (dynamic pose?)... Wondering what others got...

I know where your coming from, I recently bought some mini-busts made by Gentle Giant & rather than the usual weighty feel, 3 of them were very light & it turns out they are hollow, considering they weren't any cheaper than the non-hollow mini-busts I definitely felt cheated. :(
