What would you folks say the risk of shoulder snapping is on this guy these days? I know it was a big problem with the initial release but don't know how its been this far down the road.

I really wanna get a Spidey figure and this one is my favourite. Of the other HT Spideys, the SM3 Red suit is expensive now, used or new, either way he seems to be out of my price range. Over paying for my second favourite doesn't seem right. Black suit seems to be an upgrade on the former Spidey anyway, and I can get one in country (Canada) for a fair price, but I'm not sure I'd want my only Spider-man to be anything other than classic colours (not sure I care for the big sandman base either, I'd rather a normal dynamic stand for my display size). ASM2 is Red/Blue and has a flight stand but I'm not sold on the look at all, especially the boots.
ASM1 is my first choice but I'm worried about the arms as I wanna pose this b****. Any thoughts or advice is greatly appreciated :)
 
If you buy it new from a major retailer then you should have no fears as I believe only the first batch of figures were defective. If you buy one used or off of eBay there is a slight risk because you don't know what batch the figure is from but as long as the seller is reputable then you should be fine. I just bought a used one from eBay. I asked all of the appropriate questions to make sure that it had been posed without the shoulders breaking and I asked for additional pictures. The shoulders are great and 100% functional.

Got mine last week, love it. Unless the ASM2 figure drastically improves, this will remain my only definitive Spidey!
 
Definitely still an awesome figure. It's been in the same pose since day 1 of receiving and no issues at all. Looks awesome! Very much love this figure but I can't wait for the ASM2 Figure to come.

Got him :) Picked him up from a local shop, still in the sealed brown shipper box too! and was only $226 CAD after tax. Really good price compared to what it would cost to ship as well as the poor value of the CAD at the moment.

So happy with this guy, he looks so awesome in hand, and the joints all feel great :yess:
