Someone in HK got it and confirmed that it is indeed made out of Styrofoam.

What a joke. The IM2 version is better if you plan on getting a HoA. Seen people stack those as well.

I can not believe that. All jokes aside, I seriously expect that to be a joke. How the **** can they actually sell styrofoam for $60+ ????

It's gotta be plastic with a finish that resembles said material.

all future IM3 figures should come pack in one.... that would be Heartbreaker, Gemini, Bones...... Not that one could fit Igor into one, but how about 2 with it...

The original HOA and this are 2 different accessories. I imagine some people might buy it as an alternative to the regular HOA but using it instead of the original as a backdrop to the work shop would be very inaccurate.


This unit is designed to augment a preexisting set up. You have the Work shop, the original HOA bays and these would go in the wine cellar.

You not just getting styrofoam for $60. You getting an illuminated base, the illuminated plastic back insert, which looks very accurate, and an overhead light.

I have seen bases sell for more then$60

You guys are gonna love this...

...and although I wasn't able to get close enough to touch it, if it's not styrofoam it sure as hell looks like it. The ones they had on display dented and marred like styrofoam. $130! Really people, when is enough, enough. Please do not buy this thing. Let's stand for something. LMAO!

Attended the Ani-Com today here in Hong Kong. Saw this thing first hand. It's most certainly styrofoam, looks the same as the boxes that the recent Diecast IP, WM2 and XLII have come packaged with.

Haha. My eyes were SOOO wide when i saw the price, lol.
I would have claimed a rip-off if it was $60...
But there might be good news on the horizon folks. At $120 apiece, it can't be styrofoam, as many have already suggested here(And i have argued, lol).
The good news is that if it *is* styrofoam when it's released, one of these can be used to make a reverse vacform mould for one made of plastic.

You know for a budget model its not so bad... Think I will be buying 4-7 of the original bays at some point down the road for my non standard hall line up.

I don't begrudge anyone who wants to buy them. It is your money. But it smacks of arrogance and disrespect to charge $120 for this. Quietly, I wish for HT's failure on this product just to give them second thoughts on what their customers are willing to tolerate.
