Cheers mate.

hmm, two conflicting sizes now you say 15.5" which is doable but the other fella has it down as 18"

Not sure where he got that number. UNLESS he's including the arm outstretched which I did not measure. I only measured the based since I don't mind if outstretched body parts in the air overhang from my displays. But I understand bases overhanging being frustrating. I have a bookshelf where my Ultron PF sits. His base overhangs about an inch. It's still stable and you can barely notice though. But yeah base 15.5", arm outstretched is probably around 18".

One thing frustrating about this PF though is inside the base. There's a purple plastic disc that's poorly glued to the top underside (grate part) of the base. It's what makes the light purple. I've owned two of these Maquettes, both of which had the purple discs jostled loose during shipping. The first one I couldn't fix. The second one wasn't nearly as bad and I was able to fix a bit. I can probably make it even better but I don't mind it too much currently as I got my Maquette for $690. I just don't know what tool to use to get inside the small slits in the grate. Because of this I wish sideshow just didn't include lights. Just opens any statue up to so many more potential issues, especially years down the line if the lights stop working! Good luck with yours!

Also, if anyone has any suggestions for moving that purple disc I'm referring to around I'd appreciate it. Mine's about 1cm off-center.

Great news mate. im not bothered about the arm sticking out infact I'd quite like that. Do you see the power cable being a problem if I were to have the base against the back wall where my shelf is?

I edited my previous post a bit. That power cable protrudes about an extra inch actually. If you angle the base it probably won't be an issue.

cool thanks for the in depth reply - I'm pretty much building a shelf and investing the dough on your good advice! Kick starting my move away from star wars into cosmic marvel with this as the centrepiece

Good luck! Enjoy it! If you're looking to save you can find them on ebay for the price I pay (sub-$700). Mine was mint in box. Sideshow would've been willing to send me a new base since I had the purple disc issue, but they said they didn't have any in stock (but they acknowledged they've seen the issue a lot with this piece, so I'm not crazy!).

I'm in the UK and there is a place I get most my stuff selling it, works out a little more expensive but theyre reliable for returns etc

^ Nice!

I recently added a companion for galactus :)

The SS one is nice, but I like this more museum pose and even though it's "wrong" it scales so well with Galactus, or also goes with my bowen museum Thanos bust. I've been wanting that bowen surfer for years and traded someone on the boards for one. Extremely pleased with it. A simple, but elegant and near perfect piece :)

$800 plus $86 postage $886 plus 20% = $1,060.
Roughly £620 plus bank & Fed-Ex fees £640 ish total.
You do get 5% reward points though.

Dam that suks man, I don't think I could be as much of a collector as I am if I lived in euroup, that or I would have to have someone who lived in the US ship em to me.
