I'd pick up a diecast MKIII, definitely. Even without a Stark sculpt. It's an iconic suit and would pretty much top off my Iron Man collection along with Silver Centurion and Mark I. I certainly don't want to pay ebay prices for an MKIII so this is one diecast suit I'm actually hoping for.

Just got my IM Silver Centurion. It's a beautiful figure!!

This is really one of the nicest looking armors. I'll have to get this one. I did watch a review on YouTube last night and the stand doesn't light up. The battery compartment has no terminals. Not a big deal but just kind of funny that HT felt compelled to cut that corner.

It is. They really messed up not making this the main suit for the movie, or saving it for avengers 2. Ive been hating on the iron man 3 hype from the start but this figure/armor is gorgeous.

:exactly: I don't know why they choose to add the light up base on some but not others, I mean is it that much more to add it??? Same thing with the dynamic pose bases, other than the die-cast why not make it for all of em??? Kinda some BS but that's HT for ya.

:goodpost:

Yup.. I really do not understand why HT are putting out a stand that has all the panels for a light-up base, but without the electronics (again), because it appears blatantly cheapskate.. I would not mind if they did not include the batteries for a base, as a cost cutting measure.. but sticking a deliberately, non-functioning version of a light-up stand in the box, is pointless and insulting.. since on a cost-effectiveness basis, it would make far more sense to just put a standard flat, black support stand in the box.
Logically, this makes collectors suspect that this stand was originally supposed to be a light-up version, but something went horribly wrong logistically.. this scenario would explain the 'missing' electronics.

This suit looks super nice, congrats to all who took the plunge. I had to be selective and this is one that didn't make the cut. However I might be rethinking that decision, anyone want to trade me (I'm in the UK) for a War machine version 2.0?
