no matter what it is, theres one sure thing we can count on...
.... something CF whines about and doesnt like..... :monkey1

Hopefully it's the debut of the new body.

BTW, has that ever been confirmed?? I mean, I know that Hot Toys and Sideshow are "working together", but have they ever actually said they're working on a new 1/6 body??

Yes they did. They said the collaboration would start with the small hobbit-sized bodies and would reach into every 1:6 body.

If anything is worthy of 'Huge Announcement' status, I'd say that a merger with Hot Toys would be just that! :rock

I'd be happy with :vader as well.

Clash of the Titans would be the shat.

although im hoping its someting I dont want.
Im running out of space & $$$$.... :monkey1

I want to see some PFs and 1:6 figures from the movie (not the crappy tv series) of Ninja Scroll. I can't believe no one's ever picked up that license. Some of the coolest characters ever.

I would think it would be a new license....otherwise it wouldn't truly be a "huge announcement".

But I'm usually disappointed, so I'm not getting excited.

After having bought and watched this film again, I'm not too stoked on buying anything related to it anymore. It didn't hold up for me one bit.

This was my favorite movie when it came out... I even liked it more than Empire Strikes Back... So I rented it a few months ago to watch and I was amazed at how crappy the acting is. Every shot with any extras (ie people in the background) in it is PAINFUL to watch and Harry Hamlin's acting is terrible.

And great as Harry Hausen [sic?] was, the special effects looked really dated.

Big mistake if SSC takes on the MR license, in my humble opinion.

Let some company more familiar with metal work and electronics get in on that.

Keep SSC focused on things made from fabric and polystone.

Last thing I want is some completely new business venture further distract the peeps at SSC from the 1/6th line. Add a new license without reinventing what you do.

I actually still enjoy Clash/Titans just as much as I do Harryhausen's other films.
I think the effects had a dated look even when the film was released.

While some movies dont stand the test of time, this one does for me somehow.
.. but then again, I still enjoy watching Flash Gordon too...
