Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Thanks guys its Nice to see that we can agree to disagree ^^

Sorry batfan, its how i feel and im really not into that dc vs Marvel thing.
I just want good movies from whatever studios they come.
And so far im really not into the Marvel movies, and i do keep seeing them.
The things that probably killed it for me is the humor, way too much and the directors who could have been interchangeable (save for Joe Johnston). Hate it or love it but a guy like Snyder is anything but bland, he makes choices (bad ones sometimes... A lot) but at least he has a vision of what he wants to do, he doesnt have a Kevin Feige to tell him where to go and do.
The Marvel movies could all have been done by one director and nobody would notice.
To some its a good thing, to me its not. Its feels like fast food cinéma. Feel like an assembly line.

Now the Ws is a very decent flick and yes probably one of the Best from the Marvel movies, its on the right path.
I have high hopess for the Guardians because its director is a non Hollywood one, an underdog who has a great track record.
But im definitly not holding my breath for avengers 2.

Again im very happy that people are enjoying them and i would never tell them they shouldnt :)

Fast Food Cinema perfectly describes Marvel Studios’ films :lol

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

To put the best Superman's face, in the Superman movie? Nah, it was a nice gesture.

Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

His face (Reeve) was never inserted into the movie though. I'm not even sure if it was meant to give that vibe like some suggest.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Irish jedi who works with Snyder and co says Reeve ´s face has been used in that scene so... :)

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I must have missed this the 3 times I saw it in the theatre and the 6 or so times I've watched this at home, where is Reeve's face? :lol

I find it very hard to believe that Snyder & Co would slot in a fraction of a second homage to Christopher Reeve. Henry Cavill does have very similar features to Christopher Reeve, so surely there's a few moments in the movie where he resembles him more than others. There was an article a while back that posted screen shots of every second of that scene, and not one of the images is Christopher Reeve. People see what they want to see.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Like Olbert said, you can tell better while seeing it in action. I don’t think its spot on, but there is a resemblance.

and we really love our fast food. Love it or hate the WS but I can't remember the last time an audience was so into a movie, people jumped, gasped, laughed, cheered and a few even seemed to cry (old peggy carter). I hope DC can do the same in 2016.

No, I can obviously see the resemblance, but... I'm not seeing the direct face. Maybe this is an urban legend. Must...google....this....

Ah, well, then, my apologies. It kind of comes with the territory here, when you see people rag on a film, to question it, because, a lot of the time, it seems like they tag on something simply because they've picked the other team. :lol I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy the film, but you do make some good points about the way these things are pitted against each other. Myself; I'm just a fan of good movies (in my opinion). I loved The Winter Soldier and Thor: The Dark World, but I also loved The Dark Knight Rises and Man of Steel, and I refuse to let my love for some of them somehow mean I should hate the others.

:clap :clap

I read a comment somewhere that basically said the studios don't give two s**ts about what the other does, that Marvel vs DC war is just between fanboys who feel that trashing a competitors movie will somehow make 'their' movie more appreciated :lol :dunno

I'm just damn glad we're getting lots of CBMs regardless of which side they're on :D

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

For my money, I'll take just one good non-Batman movie. I have a feeling the Marvel renaissance will have to end before that happens.
