These are excellent Maul! Very creative! I can't imagine being a villager running down the side of the mountain if that were actually real! :panic: :lol

I don't often get to enjoy such a robust experience with Godzilla movies, if it's not made in America, it doens't see much buzz, so I'm enjoying every moment of this.

Well, I have all summer to read everyone's opinions on it before I see on Blu Ray, but I'm sure it'll be awesome.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm Perhaps I missed something.... See it on Blu ray??? Your not going to the theaters??

Probably not, my wife and I have a baby due late may that might have to be induced early around when this comes out and getting to the movies won't be happening, but the trade off is, when I finally get to see this movie, I'll be at home holding my lil boy in my arms and you can't beat that.

True!

PS - I hope the film is soooo Huge that it will still be around when all is safe and clear and you are able to get out and catch it on the big screen.

Yup, MF has finally lost it: :lol

LOL! I think I found my new desktop! :lol

And congrats on soon becoming a new daddy! I completely understand why'd you miss the big screen experience.

I'll be taking my whole family the opening weekend. Luckily for me, my entire family loves Godzilla!

Too scary for my kid.

The dogge! Save the dogge! :panic:

With all the talk about Edwards' love of JAWS, I can't help but think, is that why there's randomly a dog thrown into the scene, as a dog was the 2nd victim in JAWS. From all accounts at SXSW of the scene, you never find out the exact fate of the dog though.

Since being invented, movies have used animals as the means to reach the emotions of an audience and have used dogs, cats, horses, birds, etc. to grip the emotions. Especially since it's less dark than showing children or infants hurt or dying.

Wut. In the same scene theres a little girl piggybacking, scared and about to be killed by the wave. :lol

For whatever reason people are more concerned about the dog. I think it's funny, it's the same way with Independence Day when the tunnels exploding and engulfing carfulls of families, we focus on the dog jumping over car hoods like William Shatner. :lol

They haven't shown it, but I wonder if there'll be indication of people not outrunning the tsunami. I've see cars washing by but not like bodies or anything. I am curious how they'll explain a fleet of navy ships off the coast when Godzilla arrives, military presence in the city, but yet, a luau stilll going on like nothing's different.

Didn't that shot of the train wreckage have a whole lotta bodies strewn about? Doesn't seem like they will shy away from the real price of that level of destruction.

Hoping that shot's in the movie, it was originally made for the proof of concept trailer, but they did enhance it for the first trailer, which would suggest it will be in the movie, but trailers use shots and cuts that never make it all the time.
