Anyone find that this suit and the concept art for Iron Man's suit looks a bit busy in terms of color design? There's just so many little stripes and patches of colors everywhere, it's starting to look like they add more colors to make it look more advanced. I love Cap's new suit but the red stripes everywhere, especially the chest really throws me off, wish they were a darker blue or something.

Had the same issue with Iron Patriot, just looks like a kid painted him.

It's funny, I think had I not collected HT figures, these costumes wouldn't bother me at all.

Overall, I love this new Avengers 2 uniform!

But I do agree, there is a little overkill on the red stripes and highlights here and there. I don't think the red is needed along the chest and back of the outfit. I don't mine the accent lines to show different types of interwoven fabric but then they should've added some darker blues/dark grays here and there instead of the red.

At the end of the day, miles better than the original Avengers outfit. I like the brown gloves and boots as it does look slightly less "cartoonish"

Overall I love this suit! I'm not loving those spats though, and there are too many thin red stripes all over the suit, and the small Avengers "A" on his shoulders is a little weird. Are the Avengers creating a brand? Dispite the griping, I do love the suit though.

I think the bigger problem is a hat with a large 'A' on it.. know what I'm saying? :lol
Marvel might want to think about that in future costume development meetings.. the guy has a red white and blue shield and stars on his uniform, I think most fans can probably remember his name, without the letter prompt.. or put it on the shield

Damn that avengers 2 cap looks so awesome. I'm gonna end up having a whole shelf of caps:slap

I think that is gonna apply to me to....I said I was only going to get the Avengers 1 Cap and no more versions!! :thud: So much for that!

Thats what I'm afraid of :lol but I just re-organized my shelves by movie so that should make having four Captain Americas ok right? :lol

The way these figures are turning out at the moment - the more Caps the better!! :lol

^^^ I like that logic! Especially considering I love the AoU Cap outfit already so looks like I'll be adding that guy to my collection too :lol

The wait for Ultron is killing me, he's been my favorite Marvel character for years now and I still can't believe he'll feature in a film. I can't help but feel that I have to be REALLY careful not to impulse-buy everything to do with him though..... Over the years I've already been slowly building an army of 6-inch figures of Ultron, both official and custom-made so I'm honestly scared how things might turn out for me next year. And with a subtitle like "Age of Ultron" and him being a mech design, you just KNOW that they'll milk this guy once the marketing and merchandising starts for the film. :lol

I'm just crossing my fingers for a Hot Toys Ultron! Instant buy.. I may have to sell a kidney.

Honestly even before he was announced as the upcoming film's antagonist, back then I wished that Hot Toys would have made an Ultron even if it was based on his comic version since he's the only comic character I'd ever buy in a heartbeat. :lol

That said, I'm almost tempted to sell some of my collection if he proves to be really expensive (what with HT prices rising by the years). Don't think I'll regret it though, this is the one thing I've been waiting for ever since I got into the 1/6 collecting hobby, and I sure as hell hope that Joss Whedon doesn't screw him up in the movie (if anything, I hope he ends up writing the best Ultron story by far).

The production stills we've seen so far gives me hope, and as much as some folks wanted the Jack O' Lantern face design, as a fan of the character I'll be one to admit that I don't mind what I'm seeing so far. Given that Ultron has an almost human quality to his character, I don't mind him having a more humanoid face if they want to convey more emotions. It's not like we haven't seen a humanoid Ultron anyway, heck that was once the end result he had plotted during the "Annihilation: Conquest" story where he literally possessed Adam Warlock's body to gain a superior techno-organic vessel (needless to say, Ultron being depicted with human expressions is absolutely glorious).

I've been a fan of Ultron ever since I've got into comics back in the 90s.
And I'm very happy with what I've seen so far of him. I really would not mind
him conveying emotions. Hell, I'd prefer it almost. What's funny is
the Annihilation: Conquest is exactly what came to mind when I first saw the
pictures. If Joss Whedon takes this movie in that direction.. We are in for a hell
of a ride!

There is one thing I am worried about, not the design at all, but the paint used for this figure.
Given what is happening to the Captain America shields lately I have a bad feeling
scratches will be an issue. That is only if they go the route of metallic paint. But either way
I already have 2 pieces chosen to get the boot when this is released.

I'm fine with keeping just the first Avengers. No need to double dip (even thou Cap looks friggin awesome!) I will just add the new characters to them and save a fortune :)

Wish I could do that! But not getting figures (especially these guys because the avengers are my favorite) isn't an option

Agreed. My will power is pretty much nil. I love these damn things too much, lol.... This is such a great hobby, makes me feel like a kid again.....not that I ever stopped :wink1:
