Not for me i really don't care.(although i would not mind it,and can see people that would want a complete fellowship)I'd love a bilbo and then a saruman...Variety is fine with me.

Well, then you're a different LOTR fan cause most I think here would agree with me that the Fellowship is #1 on any list. If they are willing to not take into account the SSW line.

No, I think most people naturally want their favorite characters first, it's just that most people count somebody from the Fellowship as that person. If we hadn't already gotten him, I'd totally be pushing for Faramir before anybody else, even the Fellowship--in fact that's what I was doing when the line just started. I think the SSW people are the main ones pushing the concept of a Complete Fellowship (for good reason) because they were deprived that in the old line. Everybody wants something different. But as for me and my house, we want the Fellowship now!

is he the one who is sweeping his sidewalk? i want him.

You mean this guy?

Naw, I think that's suppose to be Bodo Proudfoot

I'm not gonna lie - if we don't get at LEAST all those characters listed in the poll, and then some villains, I might just sell my growing 1/6 LOTR collection. There's so much potential, and I guess ToyBiz spoiled us w/ the insane number of characters, but I feel that LOTR's needs its due respect from SS in all its glory - I am thinking we may see a rebirth w/ The Hobbit announced (eventually), just like they'll hopefully bring back the X-Files line w/ the new film; to get back to topic, I'm hoping that SIDESHOW is working hand-in-hand w/ HOT TOYS to be able to produce reasonable armor for LOTR's (and anything else that needs it); I AM, however, at least glad that every figure so far seems to be a winner. We'll see...

Your LOTR 1/6 collection is growing??? Mine has stopped cold (minus the pre-ordered hobbits) :D

I must admit, I'm sort of surprised at the numbers Pippin and/or Merry are getting. I think the line is really hurting from the lack of villians. :D

Good news, my 12" Samwise waitlist got converted today. Now just need Frodo. Bring the rest on, I'm ready.

If Merry and Pippin get made first, that means 3 months to the next announcement, then you know we got Gandalf coming (another 3 months added to that)... so I gotta wait half a year to see a Preview of a Nazgul????

As long as the Fellowship is completed first, everything else is just gravy.

It's a difficult choice for me. I really have no interest in Merry and Pippin, so I guess I could go with an incomplete Fellowship. But I would like some EVIL on my LOTR shelf.

I know this has been overstated again and again, but at this pace, the hope of getting Saruman and Nazgul and Gothmog (that's hopeless) and even Orcs is a years away. If they finish the Fellowship, which is highly likely, that's nearly a year more (Gimli, Gandalf, Merry and Pippin). So any hope of collecting some ghouls is pushed off until 2009. And that's IF they don't stretch it out with Arwen and Eowyn and Theoden and other key 2nd-tier hero characters.

I'm just not sure I can hang in there.

There's also the fear that the line ends before it's completed. And by completed, I mean with some characters for the Fellowship to confront. If we get the 9, and no one else, my collection is of no interest to me.

I almost never include villains in my collections, but I would die if we didn't at least get Saruman to go with Gandalf the Grey. He and the Nine are the only ones that I consider to be pressing needs after the Fellowship. And besides I've already been spoiled--no matter what happens I somehow got my favorite character before Gandalf himself. Sad for many but oh so wonderful to me!

Of course, don't interpret that to mean that I don't want to see more, because if I had it my way this line would be bigger than even Star Wars! If only . . . :monkey2
